Bio
I’m a mum to a toddler, just trying to get through the day. I like to write about the ups and downs of parenting. I’m not afraid to tell it like it is. I hope you’ll find something here to laugh, relate to, and maybe even learn from.

Toddler Milestones on a Friday
I took my son for his 18-month vaccination last Friday. I was nervous about the appointment because at his 12-month vaccination, the nurse warned us that this one would involve three needles. He’s a lot more aware of what’s going on around him now, so I was worried that this visit might be a little traumatising for both of us.

I don’t remember driving home, but here I am, taking a deep breath to prepare myself before I walk inside. I enter the house expecting another argument, or at the very least a seething glare, but she doesn’t even look up.

Toddler Tooth Discolouration and Mum Guilt: Our First Dentist Visit Panic

But then I went back to worrying about the hundred other things mums worry about and completely forgot the tooth.

New Achievement Unlocked: Vocal+
I don’t consider myself a gamer, but I do enjoy playing video games, especially survival horror. My husband bought me some PlayStation games for Christmas in 2023… this was six days after our son was born. Yesterday, I finally had some time. I was rested, and for once, I wasn’t battling any illnesses, so I decided to pick up the controller.

Baby Swimming Lessons
I was so excited when our boy started swimming lessons at four months. As we walked through the doors that first day, the familiar smell of chlorine greeted us. For some reason, I find it oddly comforting. It was winter, but they had the venue set to the perfect temperature so we weren’t cold when we stripped down to our swimmers. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who showed us around, and then we were ready for our first lesson.
