Always Time For Some Looney Tunes
Bugs Bunny Warner Brothers got a gem of a rabbit when they created Bugs Bunny. He is known for his popular quote “What's up doc?” I could never figure out what doc he meant but I knew it was a clever way to ask someone what was happening. He was a healthy rabbit and was always eating fresh carrots.

The Fishing Trip
This is a story I wrote years ago which was written for a contest so I knew what I had to write about – a house from a photo. Even though this is all fiction I guess my life and my house and garden back in Riga, Latvia were on my mind. As I reread this I am the main character and even though I am many years younger than Harry in this story I too lost my love. We only had about 20 years together but we did have the house and garden. I did not go on a fishing trip when I sold the house but I did return to my homeland the U.S. My faithful companions of course, was my cat Sid.

Mountains on Canvas
European Artists The Wanderer Above the Sea Fog 1818 Caspar David Friedrich German artist Caspar David Friedrich traveled to various locations around the world to see natural beauty. He is known as one of the most prolific painters from the Romanticism Era. This is his most famous mountain painting. It depicts a man standing on a rocky outcrop overlooking a mountain range that is blanketed by fog. The painter uses casual brush strokes and brings out intense detail in the foreground. Many art critics thought the man in the painting was a depiction of the artist himself.

Ships Of the Desert
Ships of the desert are a good way to describe camels. They're always expected to carry a big load across the desert. Dromedary camels carry over two hundred kilograms on their backs and can walk four kilometers per hour through the hot desert. Another reason camels are preferred on long desert journeys is that they can go three weeks without needing water to drink.
