Oregon Wildlife The US state of Oregon on the West Coast has mountains, deserts, and thick forests. A large variety of wildlife has made their home here among them 139 species of mammals with 4 species native to Oregon. These four species include Baird's shrew, Pacific shrew, camas picket, gopher, and the red tree vole.

Memorable Characters From Commercials
Mr. Whipple – Charmin The owner of Whipple's Market was George Whipple warned people not to squeeze the Charmin toilet paper from 1964 to 1985. The character was played by American actor Dick Wilson. Through the years Mr. Whipple spied on his customers to see if they were tempted to squeeze the Charmin his popular phrase became “Please don't squeeze the Charmin!” which I can imagine would be rather amusing for a real supermarket worker to say to customers but also would have made them laugh thinking about this commercial.

The Battle of Trafalgar was fought between the British Royal Navy against the naval forces of the Spanish and the French. The two countries wanted to dominate the waters surrounding Europe and a great deal of the rest of the world.

Wildlife of Ohio Ohio is one of the twelve Midwestern states in the US. This state has four distinct types of habitats – forests, prairies, wetlands, and the Great Lakes. Making their home in these habitats are 67 species of mammals, 39 species of amphibians, 45 species of snakes, and 219 species of birds.

Krakow on the Vistula River
Krakow is a city in southern Poland near the border of the Czech Republic. The Krakow Old Town is a UNESCO Heritage site. The Market Square has been the place of action since the Middle Ages. Here you can find bars housed in the cellars of Medieval buildings, there are street cafes and restaurants. Among the landmarks are the central Renaissance Sukiennice or Cloth Hall and the Town Hall Tower (the hall was demolished in 1820.)

Taking a Look At Nebraska
Chimney Rock National Historic Site in Bayard, has a Chimney Rock formation that dates back 25 to 24 million years ago. This impressive rock spire was a landmark to pioneers who were heading toward the West in the early to mid-19th century. There is a visitor center for information and you can learn about the Overland Trail.

This artwork is among his best-known paintings. It depicts the painter’s wife dressed in a flowing garment with an umbrella to shield from the midday sun. In the background his song Jean can be seen.
