Absent Integrity
The world today has got me in thoughtful mode. There's a lot not to like and I do feel like we are bombarded with what is wrong rather than what is right, probably because the "wrong" stuff is so much more potent and jaw-dropping than the "right".

Rachel Reviews: The Serial Killer's Wife by Alice Hunter
I do love a recommendation and when my aunty told me that this was a good book, I was bound to give it a go, her taste aligning with mine a lot of the time. It was also because there is a series of the same name on British TV which my aunty had said was very different to the book and what did I think? Dum de dum...just a little input here...take the essence of this story...put it in the AI generator...and BAM! There's a great comment, people! Look at that! It's only condensed all of that story into a nice little piece of text that I can just cut and paste, like this, into this box, at the end here. Et voila! Instant involved comment without having to think!

Rachel Reviews: The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
When your 14 year old boy, who doesn't read fiction, tells you to read The Hate U Give because "I think you'll like it, Mum", you don't decline. You pick that book up and you devour it. And it wasn't hard to like this book although in a lot of ways, there's not a lot to like.

The Book Signing
She was sitting. That was all she was doing. A table, a pen, her books - they were her only companions. She had been so excited about today. This is my moment, she thought as she bustled about. In a couple of hours, she'd be able to bask in the validation that she would receive.
