Lexi and Blaze: Impetus
Remmy and Beretta were going to be away for the week. Summer camp was just a few hours away and both boys were going to spend the week at camp and then a whole week at Grandma’s ranch in Colorado. Although she would miss her boys greatly, she couldn’t help but watch the clock tick off the seconds until the boys left. Lexi had the Jeep loaded with everything Remmy and Beretta would need in their absence. Clothes and shoes, pillows, various handheld game systems and the ever present MP3 player blasting through the ear buds of both the boys, she hurried her boys in their seatbelts and reversed out of the driveway.

Bacon Wrapped Turkey
In my world, bacon reigns supreme. Bacon simply makes everything better. It doesn't just enhance the flavor of absolutely everything but, when used in the correct manner, can make any meat you are cooking super tender and juicy. It only takes a few extra minutes to make a cozy little blanket to encase whatever it is you are cooking. I especially love it with turkey. No need to baste and the pop up timer included in turkeys won't be compromised.

Daddy's Home
My kids had just left for the weekend when my cell phone sprang to life. A picture flashed on my smart phone screen, a special ring tone shattered the silence and the words “The Hubby” rolled across the picture. I pushed the correct area of the touch screen and answered his call the way I always do.
