Trump, Putin, and Zelensky to Meet?
The war in Ukraine has dragged on now for years. Initially, when Russia invaded, they thought it was like when America invaded Iraq and arrived in the Iraqi capital double-quick. However, Russia did not enter Kyiv; its invasion force got bogged down on a major highway near Kyiv. With Western help and sheer Ukrainian grit, Russia was stopped in its tracks.

Kemi Badeonch: No Longer Nigerian.. Content Warning.
The Conservative Party, a right-leaning party, thinks of itself as being progressive. The last Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, was of Indian descent. Now, in Kemi Badenoch, they have a British-Nigerian leader. The Conservatives are certainly not ethnonationalist. In other words, British people do not have to be of Native British descent to be British. As long as they sign up to what the Conservative Party stands for and are pro-British, it doesn't matter. Some of the most far-right Tory ministers have been of South Asian descent. Like Suella Braverman and Priti Patel. It seems the right to the far right in the UK is inclusive. As long as you stand for King and Country.

Rachel Reeves: Blistering Attack on Jeremy Corbyn.
The founding of "YourParty", the yet unnamed political party founded by Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana, has so far garnered 600,000 sign-ups. Some say "YourParty" could unseat Sir Keir Starmer in his seat. The party is offering an alternative to Labour, which many think has failed in its duty to protect and help those struck by the Tories. Instead, Labour has cut back on welfare and is using the same language about "Making Work Pay" as the Tories did, if not the same actual phrase. Nothing wrong with making work pay, but it is how Labour is going about it. To many Labour leftists, this Starmer-led government has been a massive disappointment. However, to add a caveat here, Starmer did warn before he was elected that if he became the denizen of N0. 10, there would be tough times ahead.

Taiwan: Is It Ready?
Taiwan has always been that rogue runaway island that gets under China's skin. The island of the Chinese Nationalists who fled the mainland when Mao and his Communists took over. Ever since then, China has regarded the island as a runaway province that must be brought back under China's boot.

Bibi Outraged Over UK's Potential Recognition of Palestine.. Content Warning.
The UK has promised to recognise a Palestinian state. However, it comes with caviats. Hamas must release all remaining Israeli hostages. Secondly, Hamas must disarm and thirdly, must relinquish power in Gaza. If Hamas did all this, then at the next United Nations General Assembly gathering, in September, the UK would support a viable Palestinian state.

Trump and Starmer: To Meet in Scotland.
Starmer and Trump have met a few times now. The bonhomie between them seems to be good-natured. Are the two leaders putting on a front because they have to work together? Is their relationship in private more tetchy? Or is there a genuine bromance there? Trump says he likes Starmer, and Starmer has said the same about Trump.

Raising The Pension Age?
With people living longer than our ancestors ever did, it has brought dividends. People 100 - 500 years ago died early. Life back then for the poor was grim and short. Possibly the upper crust lived longer due to the fact of a better diet. Nevertheless, it would be rare for any one of them to live as long as we do today. That said, historically, there were the odd exceptions. But that was more the exception than the rule. People were also, by and large, shorter. Especially, those at the bottom. Poor diet stunted growth and therefore, attracted more illnesses, leading to early death. Again, those at the top of the pile were often better and were healthier. They were often taller, too, but health care in those days was still primitive. So deaths and diseases were still around, and despite better health care and diet for the upper class, many of them still succumbed.
