Ceasefire Soon!. Content Warning.
The war still wages in the Middle East or Western Asia as it is sometimes called. Israel waits for Iran's strike back, Hamas is still fighting with Israel in Gaza, and the Houthis and pro-ran-elements in Iraq and Syria are still a threat. Israel and Hezbollah are still lobbing projectiles at each other. There seems to be no way out of this continuing cycle of conflict. There have been a myriad peace deals on the table. However, so far they have all come to nought. So, the suffering on all sides goes on and on.

Israel Strikes Back!. Content Warning.
Israel has threatened retaliation to the October 1st attack by Iran. The US told the Israelis not to hit nuclear or oil industry sites. The US also told Iran not to hit back and these tit-for-tat attacks should end now. Netanyahu and his cabinet had been mulling over which targets to strike in Iran.

It is only natural that Labour activists would go to the US and campaign for Kamala Harris. Ms. Harris as the Democratic nominee for President has re-energised their campaign. Their campaign was going nowhere when Biden was their candidate. The Democrats had to gently push Biden out of the campaign especially, after the disastrous Biden debate with Trump. Biden reluctantly stepped aside nominating his VP as his successor.

Conference to Settle Gaza. Content Warning.
The dream of returning to Gaza was dead and buried. Long after settlers from Israel had been uprooted and the land handed to Palestinians. Now with the war in Gaza still in full swing despite the death of Hamas leader Yayha Sinwar, many Jews are thinking of settling in Gaza again. Far-right politicians in Netanyahu's cabinet like Itamar Ben-Gvir and Smotrich are fanning the flames of this. Israel has been turning right for years now, as the idea of a two-state solution has died. Netanyahu himself is the Godfather of Jewish fascism so for him to be in coalition with other fascists is not surprising.

Zelenskyy Warns 10,000 North Korean Troops On Their Way.. Content Warning.
Russia is being aided in its ongoing war with Ukraine. Iran and China are supporting Russia's position in fighting Ukraine. That support is not just moral support but sending arms to help 'Vlad The Invader'. Iran has been sending suicide drones that have wreaked havoc in Ukraine. China has not openly declared it is sending weapons but it would not be a surprise.

Weapon More Deadlier Than Nukes.. Content Warning.
Things are hotting up between Iran and Israel and it looks incredibly dangerous. Since 7 October 2023 when Hamas launched a massacre of 1,200 Israelis. Also taking 200 hostages into Gaza. What followed was the massive devastation of Gaza by the Israeli Defence Forces. Whether Hamas hides its operatives and weapons in civilian areas or not Israel has attacked every target you can imagine in Gaza. Churches, mosques, medical facilities, education places, in fact, the whole fabric of what constitutes a civil society has been destroyed. Gazans have moved all over the place to safety at the behest of the IDF to keep out of "Harm's way". Two words that the Israelis love using but it has not kept them out of harm's way. So-called safe zones have also been bombed killing innocent people. Israel always claims Hamas is hiding out in these places. And yet, for all their massive attacks on Gaza Hamas like the the Elton John song says is still standing. No doubt, Hamas has suffered much destruction and operatives dead. The way to get weapons from Egypt has been blocked off as the IDF now control the border crossing between Gaza and Israel. However, Hamas still seems to have a large supply of munitions. And what they don't have they improvise, even using unexploded IDF bombs against Israeli forces.

UBI: It Not Now, When?. Content Warning.
In 2024 we are stuck with last-century ideas of how to earn a living, the economy, and benefits. With people living longer in the UK the retirement age on the present trajectory will keep increasing. By these means, some of us won't make it to retirement while others may be too old and too ill to hang around long enough to enjoy the fruits of retirement. With prices on energy costs, shopping, etc, still going through the roof an urgent plan should/could be put into place now!
