Europe: Emergency Meeting.. Content Warning.
Sir Keir Starmer is heading to Paris to meet with his European counterparts. The meeting is in response, to US Defence Secretary, Mr. Hegseth, saying "Europe needs to step up and spend more on defence". Trump has also said Europe must spend at least 5% of its GDP on defence. Trump at the end of the day, is a businessman, he runs the US like it is a company. He thinks Europe is taking advantage of the US umbrella. European nations are happy to see the US spend the most on Western defence. For Trump, this is not good enough, he rightly wants Europe to spend more on its defence.

Keir Using Trumpian Language.. Content Warning.
Nigel Farage and Reform UK, have put the wind up the Tories and Labour. Farage has set his goal of being Prime Minister by 2029. In a recent opinion poll by Sky/YouGov, Reform UK is ahead of Labour and the Conservatives. Immigration is the issue that has propelled Reform to the top of this poll:

Labour: Dealing with Illegals.. Content Warning.
Labour before and after it was elected last July was aware illegal migration/immigration was a topic with voters. Labour as good as its word, has been flying back illegals to their point of origin. Nail bars, restaurants, cafes, and vape shops, have been raided by Home Office Officers. In January, 600 immigration arrests occurred. Labour is attempting to shore up leaking voters preferring the Tories or Reform UK, over this issue. Hence, Labour trumpeted making those 600 arrests as immigration officers visited 800 targets.

A Martial Plan For Gaza?. Content Warning.
The IDF did a good and proper job in Gaza. Bombing everything possible for a normal, life, we take for granted. Imagine living in a bombed- landscape where everything you ever knew has been destroyed! How many of us would survive and be as resolute as the Gazans?

Fromage Sorry Farage: The Big Cheese!. Content Warning.
Nigel Farage must be a happy man. In the last few days, Reform UK has edged past Labour in a new YouGov poll commissioned by Sky News. Reform UK was slightly behind Labour in a previous YouGov/Sky News Poll. Now the party has topped this poll for the very first time. Whatever you think of Farage, his politics, or his party, he and they have impacted British politics perhaps forever.

Trump, Tariffs, and Tantrums!
Trump is back at it as in Trump 1.0 imposing tariffs on his perceived enemies. This man is obsessed with tariffs. It is his way of bringing those who won't bow to him to heel. Like he got, in his own words, Colombia to bend to his will. Trump has imposed tariffs on Canada and Mexico but they are not taking it lying down. Canada's outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has rallied his nation. Saying Trump has picked on the wrong country in Canada. Trudeau said Trump's tariffs have united all Canadians right or left. And Trudeau's would-be replacement has also said under his watch Canada would likewise impose tariffs on the US. The Mexican President has said Mexico is not going to be a walkover for Trump either. They will impose tariffs on the US. So good luck Donald, you've just pissed off two of your neighbours. They are not going to bow to you and you have started an apparent trade war.

Badenoch to Trevor Phillips.
With the Tories trailing in third position behind Reform and Labour Ms. Badenoch has a tough road ahead. Sir Keir Starmer when he became Labour leader, Badenoch, has to use his words: "A mountain to climb". However, Sir Keir reached the top of that mountain and became Prime Minister. Sir Keir in his time as opposition leader faced many challenges. Despite all that, Keir won with a thumping majority and became the denizen of No 10. Whether Ms. Badenoch can climb that proverbial mountain and achieve the goal of replacing Keir, remains to be seen.

Starmer and Trump Talk!
President Trump and Prime Minister Starmer spoke by phone on Sunday. And from all reports, they get on like the proverbial 'house on fire'. This is always the way between British prime ministers and American presidents. Churchill and Roosevelt, Thatcher and Reagan, Major and Bush senior, Blair and Bush junior, Cameron and Obama, etc. The UK and the US have always enjoyed a close relationship. So why would Trump and Starmer be any different?

Holocaust Memorial Day UK.. Content Warning.
As we in the UK reflect on the awful events that took place at Auschwitz, Treblinka, etc, have we forgotten about past and present holocausts? Let us make no bones what happened back then was vile. It's one thing to hate or dislike a group of people but when you extend it to a mass genocide that's another level. The holocaust undertaken by the Nazi regime to destroy a whole community of people based on their faith and ethnicity has to be the most memorable and arguably the worst genocide ever. When you systematically, machinelike, exterminate fellow human beings in the most ghastly manner possible you are beyond redemption (in many people's eyes).
