Labour: Dealing with Illegals.
Deportations Up.

Labour before and after it was elected last July was aware illegal migration/immigration was a topic with voters. Labour as good as its word, has been flying back illegals to their point of origin. Nail bars, restaurants, cafes, and vape shops, have been raided by Home Office Officers. In January, 600 immigration arrests occurred. Labour is attempting to shore up leaking voters preferring the Tories or Reform UK, over this issue. Hence, Labour trumpeted making those 600 arrests as immigration officers visited 800 targets.
Labour figures like Home Secretary Yvette Cooper pointed out this is a vast difference from the last administration. 73% up on the numbers being arrested compared to the Conservatives last January. In total, 3,930 arrests since July when Labour came to power. Immigration officers visited 5,424 targets across to achieve this.
In all, 16,400 have been flown out presumably, from where they came from. Labour has stated that figures will show today, that this number is expected to rise. Labour if these figures are correct has indeed, hit the ground running.
The Tories bemoan the scrapping of their Rwanda scheme. Where illegals would have flown exclusively to Rwanda. According to the Conservative propaganda, a better life was awaiting illegals, no matter where they came from. How true this was cannot be said, but given that Rwanda was the place of genocide was this even the right place for illegals to be sent? However, this scheme was scrapped under Labour as they said it was too much money.
Now it seems Labour has truly got a handle on arresting and deporting illegals. As discussed in my previous article, voters across Europe are turning to parties like the AFD, Brothers of Italy, National Rally, Vox, Reform, etc. These people are not necessarily racist or xenophobic (though some are). They see the establishment parties not listening to them or being "woke"! They see people pouring into their countries changing the very fabric and indeed the population of their societies. If people have genuine concerns about such issues, then the establishment parties should have listened. If they had we wouldn't be where we are now with far-right parties becoming popular and forming governments as in Italy and Austria.
Reform in the UK and the Alternative for Deutschland (AFD) in Germany are riding high. Reform UK in the polls, is ahead of the Tories and Labour. People don't want the Tories. In power 14 years of misrule, the Tories took a wrecking ball to the nation. So no thank you Kemi Badenoch we don't want to go down that road again. Keir Starmer has not lived up to the expectations of many so far. Hence, Labour voters are supporting Reform UK. Whether Reform's lead will last remains to be seen. If Keir Starmer can reverse this decline and put a dent in Reform's support by the above actions on illegal immigrants he may attract voters back. Badenoch herself will want to look as tough as Nigel Farage is on such issues. So we will see how that works out.
Nevertheless, Reform UK is a clear and present danger to both parties. Farage claimed to have 200,000 supporters and could become Prime Minister. Farage wants to ape Trump in America.
As for the AFD, they are in second place and their popularity is down to illegal migration. Yes, there are issues like the EU, green energy, etc, that attract support, however, illegal or even legal immigration/migration is their strongest issue. For many Germans, the rise of the AFD given the Nazi past is worrying. In France, the National Rally has a strong showing and Marine Le Pen still hopes to be French President.
So, ultimately all this could be solved with balance. Listening to homogenous populations must be listened to and addressed. Conversely, genuine migrants and immigrants can bring benefits to our country.
