Gaza Bound Greta Intercepted.

Flotilla Stopped, Boarded, and Sent To Israel.

Greta and Palestinian Flag.

Greta Thunberg is someone you think is a genuine campaigner or a middle--class kid with nothing better to do. Whatever, Ms. Thunberg has focused attention on our planet, whether it be climate change, the extinction of species, etc. Now, the Swede's latest enterprise is solidarity with the suffering of Gaza.

She was sailing on a flotilla of ships bound for Gaza with other celebs carrying aid for Gaza. Like other flotillas in the past, to break the blockade of Gaza. The flotilla is backed by the FFC, or Freedom Flotilla Coalition.

Other flotillas sailing to Gaza have been intercepted by the IDF in the past. One ending tragically when IDF commandos stormed the flotilla with a loss of life onboard. The IDF told Thunberg's flotilla to turn back. And many were thinking about the fate of other flotillas, and so, feared for the safety of the FCC flotilla.

As the flotilla neared Gaza, the IDF boarded the ships and rerouted them to an Israeli port. Pictures of Greta and other crew members were shown being given water and sandwiches. The Israelis said all on board were safe, the aid on board the ship allegedly would be sent into Gaza, and the crew, including Ms. Thunberg, would be sent home.

A spokesman for Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said the IDF would be showing footage of the 7 October attacks. To show Israel's side of the story and the alleged or real acts of depravity committed by Hamas. The speaker said Greta and her gang of Hamas supporters had sailed to help Gaza. However, once footage is shown of what Hamas did, it would show Hamas in its true light. That of a vicious and nasty group committed to the genocide of Jews. So while it's fair enough for Israel to put their point, in one way, it could be accused of reeducating Greta and other crew members.

While the footage will be harrowing to watch, how much of it is real and how much of it is Israeli propaganda? Will it change Ms. Thunberg's mind? I'm sure the young Swede is aware of the atrocities done by Hamas, but has she seen footage of what Hamas did before? It will be interesting to see whether Israel has changed Greta's mind in the coming days.

Certainly, the FCC flotilla could be regarded as a stunt. A genuine stunt or just a stunt to make celebs look good? Maybe both, but it doesn't mean the intentions of those on board for Gaza were bad. Those onboard the ships knew the history of the fate of similar flotillas at the hands of the Israeli military. They went into this unarmed, with no naval protection, perhaps even preparing themselves for death or at least a lengthy stretch in an Israeli jail.

Hamas condemned the Israeli boarding as an act of piracy in international waters. The organisation saluted the bravery or foolhardiness (depends on your viewpoint) of the flotilla. As the IDF boarded the ships, it must have instilled fear and trepidation in those onboard. However, this time, no one was harmed. The IDF has done some outrageous things in its time, but perhaps even they thought twice of harming a young girl like Greta.

The suffering in Gaza caused largely by the actions of the Netanyahu regime is unspeakable, unfathomable, and inhumane. So-called feeding centres set up by Israel and the US to feed starving Gazans have faced criticism. These areas are meant to be places of safety, but Palestinians have died because of actions by the IDF. The IDF says it acts against Hamas infiltrators, but others question that.

Meanwhile, ceasefire comes, ceasefire goes, for all of Netanyahu's vain, glorious actions in Gaza to keep himself in power, free from prosecution, hostages remain imprisoned, IDF operatives die, and the meaningless war to defeat Hamas has so far failed.
