David Lammy Denounces Israel.
Foreign Secretary in The House of Commons.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy lashed out at Israel's ramped-up actions in Gaza. Benjamin Netanyahu has announced he wants to capture the whole of Gaza to defeat Hamas and bring the remaining hostages home.
Netanyahu said he would only negotiate with Hamas under fire. Israel has blocked food and other supplies from going into Gaza. Israel has been accused of using hunger as a weapon, leading to starvation. And it's harrowing to see children and adults with bowls fighting over what food remains. The military action that Israel is now taking and the blocking of aid are what Mr. Lammy was condemning.
Bibi has allowed some aid trucks in, but it is still insufficient. Mr. Lammy described Israel's actions as "monstrous". As he did this, other MPs on all sides shouted "genocide", in other words, call it out for what it is. Mr. Lammy also announced the government is temporarily pulling out of a trade deal with Israel, also in protest at Israel's actions. Israel has responded by saying if the UK wants to hurt its economy, that's a matter for them.
A spokesperson for the UN announced at the Security Council that stopping genocide must be a priority. The UN has had the gumption, unlike the UK government, to call it what it is - a genocide.
Let's look at this, is it a genocide? Gaza is a densely packed. Hamas bases itself amongst the populous, whether by intent or not. So when Israel is dropping highly powerful munitions on these places to take out Hamas targets, civilians will pay a price and pay a huge price they have.
Thousands of dead lie under the rubble, and above thousands are dead and maimed. The whole of Gaza's infrastructure has been destroyed. What constitutes a modern society has been destroyed by the IDF. Gazans have moved up and down the enclave at the order of the IDF. What a life these wretched people are living.
Israel itself has paid a high price not only from the deaths and abductions of October 7. Civilian and military deaths have occurred from Hezbollah, Hamas, and Houthi rockets and drones. The IDF has lost personnel in Gaza. It is locked in an unwinnable war. No matter what Israel does, Hamas remains a weakened but implacable foe.
So is it genocide? Some would say it's debatable. However, extremist ministers in Netanyahu's government, like Ben-Gvir and Smotrich, have called for ethnic cleansing. They want the whole population of Gaza gone, they don't care how. They have dreams of resettling the enclave. It is the dream of Jewish fascists (who would have ever thought the word fascist and Jew would ever go together, given the holocaust, etc, but sadly, here we are) for a greater Israel. Hence, the IDF is escalating their actions in the West Bank, Southern Lebanon, Syria, and notably, Gaza.
Conquering Gaza for Netanyahu and conquering Ukraine for Putin is a must. Neither men care how many die, whether it is their own or the enemy's. Both men know that as long as these wars continue, they are accountable to no one and stay in power.
Opposition is crushed or ignored. Both men control state media, and both men are wanted as war criminals. Both men are regarded as heroes in their nations and worldwide.
Equally, both men are hated in equal measure at home and abroad. Peace deals and ceasefires haven't lasted long because neither man wants peace. So, is it even worth pursuing peace by people like Trump?
In the past, Trump got on with Putin and Netanyahu because Trump is a similar man. A vain, glorious person who thinks they are the only game in town. And nothing else, as Metallica said, matters!
However, lately, Trump has fallen out with Netanyahu as he accuses the Israeli leader of "manipulating him". Likewise, with Putin, Trump has threatened to walk away from peace talks between Russia and Ukraine as he sees that Putin is not genuine. Or if he is, he wants peace on his terms.
So this article is supposed to be about David Lammy's condemnation of Israel, so why have I brought Putin into this? Simply, to highlight the similarities between the characteristics of Netanyahu and Putin. I'm sure Vlad the Impaler would be proud of them.
