Autumn Goddess
This is for a wonderful friend. I can’t say too much about her without giving her identity away , but she is a veritable Goddess and a wonderful Mother. The music I am leading with is Birth Ritual the first track from the EP trilogy "Maiden, Mother, Crone" from Jordan Reyne and is a tale about the absurdity of the gender construct and how we are taught to perform the rituals required of us based on our physicality from birth.

Going Nowhere , But Home
This is a collaboration between Samantha Ciccone and Mike Singleton , from a concept that came from a chat . We were talking traffic and Samantha said she would love to drive anywhere / nowhere but somehow end up at home. I've used "Going Home:Wild Theme" from "Local Hero" by Mark Knopfler as the lead in music, as for me it fits.

A Musical Education , My Experience of Public Service Broadcasting
I first heard Public Service Broadcasting on BBC Radio 6 with the song “ROYGBIV” an acronym for the sequence of hues commonly described as making up a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

S'cool Days
There is an “Inside Joke” challenge on Vocal, the premise of which is “Share a funny, true story about you and one of your childhood friends.” The problem with this challenge is that very often funny stories are over very quickly when they are committed to paper.

Loving You More
Sometimes someone just makes you feel loved and you want to return what they give you , and it’s not always easy. You make me happy , inspire me , make life wonderful . This is a vague ballad format and may end up as a song. I am including the Buzzcocks "Love You More" as the lead song, it is noisy but beautiful, and from the Manchester scene I was almost a part of.

A True Folk Hero
On 28 February 1982 Nic Jones was involved in a serious road traffic accident. Returning home by car after a gig at Glossop Folk Club, on the road between Peterborough and March in Cambridgeshire, Jones, tired, inadvertently drove into a lorry pulling out of Whittlesea brickworks. He suffered serious injuries, including many broken bones and brain damage, and required intensive care treatment and hospitalization for a total of eight months.

Welcome To Riverworld
Note this , by its very nature , will contain spoilers , Philip Jose Farmer has written some of my favourite books such as “The Wind Whales of Ishmael” and “The Other Log of Phileas Fogg” both nodding to fiction classics which you can guess. I will try and keep it as high level as possible naming characters , concepts in the hope that you may want to visit Riverworld.

Lady of the Water. Top Story - September 2021.
Colleen Millsteed shared a poem called “No More Me” which was subtitled “It’s Game , Set and Match To You” which reminded me of the title of a Nic Jones album. Nic Jones’ masterpiece is “Penguin Eggs” which contains the seafaring lady tale “Canadee-I-O” which has one of the most beautiful guitar intros ever, which got me to thinking about writing a maritime based tribute to my beautiful Muse.

A Santa Rosa Girl
Sometimes you see someone doing wonderful things , sharing stuff , promoting others while sharing her life and continually chatting with you. I have shared an Alex Heffes song featuring Regina Spektor called Ball0on Girl to lead this in, I originally wanted to use the beautiful "Fidelity" (see post verses) but I loved "Balloon Girl" and the video so much you get two.
