Introduction This came to me as I was waiting to read my poetry at Northern Slice yesterday. At Brunch 23 I had said I didn't drink, then I was the only one in my group who did not smoke so the Adam and the Ants song came to mind.

Chips And Gravy With The Bard of Salford
The title relates to the only time I met and chatted with Dr John Cooper Clarke. I am not sure when I first came across him but I remember buying the Rabid EP “Innocents” in the nineteen seventies, which opened with “Suspended Sentence” and then the title song and backed with “Psycle Sluts Part 1 and 2”. I saw him on TV working at a Manchester University doing a good Bob Dylan impression in his looks.

You Think I Am Broken
Introduction This is inspired by my situation on Vocal, the Bouke de Vries work and the Screaming Trees song. I know that for many others, they would have walked away from Vocal, but I am taking it as a challenge. I get the feeling that Vocal moderators and others don't want me here (just my imposter syndrome paranoia), but I know a lot of people do, and obviously, some on Vocal do value me, so I will not be giving up.
