A Eulogy For A Great Friend We Lost This Week
We lost an amazing friend this week to Cancer , it hit very quickly. He was out for lunch last Wednesday and this hit him at the weekend and by Monday we had lost him. He was cheerful right to the end, although he must have been in pain , oh , and he was 101.
He was a veteran of Bletchley Park , and the War in the Far East , and teacher , governor , an amazing raconteur, lover of words and music and Scottish Football (A Celtic supporter) but was involved with a lot of Football clubs in varying capacities.
Jim loved Wagner so I have included "Isoldes Liebestod" from Tristan & Isolde.
These are my impressions of him , some may be wrong but he was an absolutely amazing person and will be sadly missed.

I loved every conversation
Never knew what it would be about
How was my life here in the Far South
Or Railway stories, On Great Steam Trains
πβ½
And Classical Concerts in Dublin
Meals at the Dome in Edinburgh
Swapping words and stories and weβre talking through
The Melrose Sevens and then Burts for Lunch
πβ½
And Football tales of Scottish players
Flying out to Vietnam because
You could. Pride in you family where
They shone like stars for you always
I miss our conversations and times
But I have memories , Thank You Jim
