Songs Without Words
Introduction When I was in the Bok the band leader Andy Marshall described instrumentals as "Songs Without Words" and we had a few of those, though none made it to our demo tape that you can hear on Soundcloud link below (the pic of my ugly mug) if you feel like listening to something John Peel described as "primitive" and Stiff Records just sent us a pre-printed rejection letter. Rabid wanted to put out "Happy Birthday"/"Mystery Band" as a double "A" side single but they folded before that happened.

With A Little Luck
Introduction I have over 22K reads on Vocal accounting for $137 of read payments. However my top three most read pieces have virtually no interaction from my Vocal friends and audience yet account for almost ten per cent of my reads and therefore read income.

The Writing’s On The Wall
Introduction I don't know if it's similar for other people on social media, but I sometimes think a few days off Facebook and when I come back there are lots of notifications in the Facebook Groups that I am part of and I feel that no one has missed me or really needs me there, and maybe I should just stay out of it.

See Saw
These are just some lines about the way I am, there are some rhymes and near rhymes but that is about the closest it comes to real poetry, but I do hope you like it. I have often said I feel lazy when I write a poem, but then find it takes longer than writing fiction, although most of these words came when I was out on one of my works.

This Vicious Sky
This is an entry for the Vocal Improbable Paradise Challenge which you can read about below. The Fight They were on a tropical booze cruise somewhere in the Indian Ocean. They had won their tickets in a London Football Club draw, A: was a white racist West Ham supporter and B: was a Somalian Leyton Orient supporting thug who hated whites and West Ham supporters. There could not be two more undeserving benefactors of goodwill but life goes like that quite often.

Maiden Of The Ice Lands
You know this is for my Muse who has daily battles with ice, snow and bad weather and always coming out on top. While this is inspired by my Muse it is a support sonnet to say that every woman and girl has power in themselves to overcome and to soar.

The Vocal Good Life
Introduction I thought I had better write something about the good things that happened yesterday in case my Vocal friends and audience thought that I was descending into the “Slough of Despond”. Although I might complain and my vaguely autistic tendencies cause me to get upset at certain things there are still a lot more good things happening for me.

All Apologies
Introduction I really didn't know how to do this. I can't expect anyone to read my stories if I don't make the effort to read theirs and sometimes I just get overwhelmed, I then don't read friends' stories and I am wracked with guilt. I do try to read things eventually but I know that I miss so much.
