For Someone In A Land Of Ice And Snow
You know this is for my Muse who has daily battles with ice, snow and bad weather and always coming out on top.
While this is inspired by my Muse it is a support sonnet to say that every woman and girl has power in themselves to overcome and to soar.

The Ice Giants Raining Hail And Snow
She Stands Before Them, She Is Fearless
Against Their Cold Heart, Her Powers Grow

Introduction I really didn't know how to do this. I can't expect anyone to read my stories if I don't make the effort to read theirs and sometimes I just get overwhelmed, I then don't read friends' stories and I am wracked with guilt. I do try to read things eventually but I know that I miss so much.

FiveโLocked in a perpetual battle against my failing senses and reason, I fight to survive, to get through; I am afraid of... nothingandeverythingallatonceโ...โmy mouth is dry, and my muscles seize up... what can I see? I can see the birdcage and birds; I can see the watercolour my beautiful wife painted many years ago and unlocked her journey into art; I can see the empty mug of tea as it sits perilously on the arm of the sofa; how many is that now? Three down, two to go; I can also see a jackdaw on the roof of our neighbour's house across the road and a bookcase of potentialโFive things you can see.

Beautiful sonnet and I love Hoppipola! This poem reminded me of Elsa from Frozen! Because she sang "The cold never bothered me anyway" in the song, Let It Go!
