The Coffee's on Me
Isn't kindness and generosity a rather didactic, altruistic idea meant for children's picture books? It's not unusual to equate acts of kindness with dramatic acts of heroism, perhaps saving someone from a fire or making an extra large donation to a charity.

Parallel Lines
Have you come to blows with someone before? While you may not have gotten into physical fights with others, chances are that you've disagreed with more people than you can count. Getting two people to understand each other's perspectives is no mean feat.

Old Man Wong
Grumble as we may that life is bruising, chaotic or daunting, there's one thing that it's not - boring. Why? It's full of the unexpected. Multi-colored tapestry
People say that variety is the spice of life, and they would be right. Life has much to offer, in ranges and shades. The food we eat, clothes we wear, books we read and even the pets we keep all have types and variations. Each dish we partake of and little dog we welcome into our home has unique traits that separate it from everything else in the world.

Mighty Acorn
The exhortation 'count your blessings' isn't one that we'd like to hear when we're in the middle of painful hardship or loss. We know that we should have an attitude of gratitude, but that doesn't resonate with us when life throws curve balls.

Human Labyrinth
Conflicts and drama in relationships are sadly too common. Although we interact with people every day and have boundless experiences this with them, they are the most difficult mazes in the world to navigate. I'm finding this maze quite insurmountable.
