Parallel Lines

Have you come to blows with someone before? While you may not have gotten into physical fights with others, chances are that you've disagreed with more people than you can count. Getting two people to understand each other's perspectives is no mean feat.

That's because each individual is unique, with thoughts and feelings that often don't mirror others. Their thoughts often run in parallel lines that coexist without meeting.

Yet, people who have opposite views can exist in parallel to each other, emotionally challenging as it is. One must accept the differing views of the other party, bitter pill as that sometimes Is to swallow. Clarifying one's position is another difficult step one must take; that can be challenging if one doesn't even know what position to take! Then there's the ultimate challenge of finding common ground; when it can't be reached, parties must agree to disagree.
