The Story of a Back
Note: another fragment left in a folder and ignored (a piece of something greater?) -K.D. * Don’t turn around. Don’t turn around? Stupid for me to say that, and totally unexpected. It could even be a riddle: “What is always there but never seen?” Some sort of joke there, but I should have set this up a little better than I did. Please forgive me. I am not the best one for a joke. But I did get your attention…

The Number
Should I even write about this? It is Sunday night - nice touch - and I have planned my lessons for the college. It will mostly be a review of the material we have already covered and I will be preparing them for the exam they have after their spring break. And I have some new online students who will just want to chat and discuss how to improve their English skills. I will have a lot of time to meditate and focus on what this means.

Sarah Cooper Returns!
She's back, folks! It has been at least one month since that individual in that nation to the south took the oath of office and much of the respect and honour earned by other presidents over many years. It has not been the most pleasant time of the year to consider all those jobs lost, the arrests made, the idiotic comments made, and the future plans that will disrupt trade, business, and make life much harder for those of us who thought we could surf above the nonsense we knew was coming our way.

An Interview with.... Top Story - February 2025.
I found this while cleaning up my computer and looking over some old files that I never found a place for online. I wonder what people will think of this self-interview I conducted for a friend in the early 2000s who wanted me to submit some biographical information in a Q and A (she came up with the questions; I should get back in touch with her one day). English was not her first language, and this was for an assignment she had at school to improve her skill with the language.

The Recipe
Note: the following recipe allows for variations and additions, but the list of ingredients and instructions has been collated by experts with many years of experience in this field. And I have played around with the demands of the challenge...and so what?
