8/23/2024: To Potty or Not To Potty, that is the question
There is absolutely nothing sexy or glamourous about potty training a 2 year old. To be completely honest. I've had it easy. All of my girls trained so easily at 2. One of them even trained herself - just woke up one morning and told me she was going to use the potty, and did. So I had my expectations high for day one. I went into day one with joyful, ignorant, naive enthusiasm. If the sweetness of my voice over telling Stank Face McGee that it was potty day was the glaze for a doughnut I would have caused an instant cavity.

BTS: Remember
I've been working through a list of words as poetic prompts for August. Sometimes I find them really inspiring and my direction instantly takes off at a warp speed the Star Ship Enterprise would be proud of. Other times I sit on the struggle bus which feels like a 16 hour trip from here to Destin and it's full of crying babies, snoring men, I've forgotten to pack snacks, there's a spring poking up awkwardly from the bottom of my seat, and the bus driver has to stop to pee every hour on the hour... ARE WE EVER GOING TO GET THERE? Tonight kind of felt like that for me.
