BTS: Remember
An inside look into the thoughts behind the poem
I've been working through a list of words as poetic prompts for August. Sometimes I find them really inspiring and my direction instantly takes off at a warp speed the Star Ship Enterprise would be proud of. Other times I sit on the struggle bus which feels like a 16 hour trip from here to Destin and it's full of crying babies, snoring men, I've forgotten to pack snacks, there's a spring poking up awkwardly from the bottom of my seat, and the bus driver has to stop to pee every hour on the hour... ARE WE EVER GOING TO GET THERE? Tonight kind of felt like that for me.
