At Dinner, She Noticed What Was On The News...
As they sat down to dinner, the television in the kitchen was on and the news was playing. The children were busy talking about what happened in school that day. He was clearly hungry and in a hurry to eat his meal.

The Weekend Is Over
The one thing that I didn’t count on is that with every day being Saturday, why am I so tired every Saturday? Is it because every night is Friday night? Just kidding! My husband and I really have enjoyed my 7 years of retirement and his 11 years.

I Bought A 1500 Dodge Ram Diesel Pickup.
It is a beauty! A cranberry-maroon, shiny pickup truck! It does stand out in a crowd. I have never owned a diesel before. The fuel is more than the price of gas. However, in the book, it says I will get more miles on the fuel than my Dodge Journey did. After the initial great feelings, the problem set in.

“Big Bad John”
This year a dear friend called John a Saint in front of a small group of other friends. Now at first, I took that personally, thinking he was commenting on John’s living circumstances. Meaning he is a saint for living with me!! Now I knew that was not right as this man genuinely likes me.

Things I Overheard This Year
As we were riding down the road, having just picked up an older friend. He said, "Lots of bear sightings recently. I can't shoot them, but I am carrying a side arm. I have saved my pheasants once and chickens another time." There I am sitting in the back seat bear clan.
