I am married with 7 children, 28 grands, and 13 great-grandchildren. I am a culture consultant part-time. I write A Poem a Day in February for 8 years now. I wrote 4 - 50,000 word stories in NaNoWriMo. I write on Vocal/Medium daily.

A Conversation About Aging In The Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
For years I went to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) three times a year. There were big fires up there in the late 90s and I stopped going. I would go on a family trip, a couples trip, and a girl's trip each year. All wonderful and fulfilling.

Grandchildren Are So Much Fun!
My husband and I spent last weekend with family. One son that is 48 had his first child last year. His little girl turned one on Saturday and they had a birthday party for her. We had given up on this son having children and that was okay as he is just one of our 7 children.

A Letter to Our Second Born.
Dear Son, As I was being transferred to the hospital to deliver you, my second child, it occurred to me how it wasn’t that long ago that we were attending a funeral. Yes, it wasn’t much before you were born. My sister-in-law, your auntie, lost a baby girl to SIDS, sudden infant death syndrome.
