I am married with 7 children, 28 grands, and 13 great-grandchildren. I am a culture consultant part-time. I write A Poem a Day in February for 8 years now. I wrote 4 - 50,000 word stories in NaNoWriMo. I write on Vocal/Medium daily.

Holy Fire Reiki
In August we attended a two-day retreat to learn Holy Fire Reiki. Three of us were already reiki practitioners. We stayed with my sister Mary, who lives close to the retreat. Holy Fire is advertised as having some benefits beyond Usui Ryoho Reiki.

Hair, Skin And Nails
I take biotin in addition to my multivitamin. It is because I have alopecia, which is an autoimmune disease. I will occasionally get round bald spots on my head! When this happens, I have to go to the dermatologist and get scalp injections as the spots will only get larger and not grow hair back with a topical medication.

What Does National Book Lovers Day Mean?
Every year National Book Lovers Day is on August 9th. I have not read as many books as usual in the last couple of years. I have been reading on Medium and Vocal at home. And when I am driving, I have been listening to books on tape.
