Only tomorrow is not another one!

Rhyming only on the eighth son!

There are contests to be won,

prizes for almost everyone!

~

There is a birthday soon for the grandson,

he is hoping for another gun

he has a pellet and a bb gun just for fun.

I was telling him, "Oh no, not this year you are too young!"

~

He said, "Just for target practice. I want to be ready to hunt Grandma."

When the time comes, you will get plenty of practice, ask your Grandpa.

Your brother got two, his first year out.

And Grandpa did shout!

~

"Shoot Austin, shoot as he was watching from inside the house!"

and Austin was as quiet as a little mouse.

You have plenty of time and 12 will be here soon.

You only have 2 more years or another 24 times to count the full moon.

~

Oh, that's right, everyone doesn't count the full moon, like me.

Rhyming time again is fun for some of us. We keep busy as can be.

I forgot to advertise on my feed, it was just for writers in my group to see.

I would like to see more people rhyming than ever, and maybe even a he.

~

A Poem a Day in February comes just once a year.

And some of those poems will bring out many a tear.

I thought it would happen, but I have never heard anyone jeer.

Even though I expected that to happen when some were in their beer.

~

There is a lot of rhyme

during that time.

Many different poetry forms

Rhyming has become one of the norms.

~

It is okay with me as I started rhyming to write better rap.

I was told to keep it to three minutes as some may take a nap.

I said, "I'm as good as a rapping nanny should be and it's a snap

writing a rap for you! Love you Boo!

Remember when you would take a nap when sitting on my lap?"

Probably not now at 24, you have a Boo of your own,

no more babies on loan.
