Self-Care Challenge
"Self-care is how you take your power back". -Lalah Delia Lately, I've been reflecting a lot on the importance of self-care. It has been recommended to me by someone I greatly admire, that I need to take more time for myself. Between juggling work, taking care of the kiddos, and managing life with my partner, I often find myself putting everyone else’s needs first and neglecting my own. It's a challenge I know many of us face, especially when life gets so busy. It got me thinking about how easy it is to overlook self-care when you’re constantly on the go. It wasn’t until I had to slow down that I realized how important taking care of yourself truly is. Especially when you're trying to raise little humans.

Flaws and Good Intentions
You are human, Crafted from the cosmos and flaws, Perfectly imperfect - just as it's meant to be. You are not defined by your trauma. You are not bound by your past. You are not the same person you were five minutes ago, Let alone a year ago. Not even ten years ago. You are allowed to make mistakes, For mistakes don’t define us at our core being. We are all just humans, Bleeding onto the tapestry that is life. And that’s okay. It’s okay to be stitched together from flaws and good intentions. It’s okay to be you.

Dirty Dancing. Content Warning.
This classic movie has not held up to the current times we live in. Like at all. I watched this movie with my partner for Valentine's Day because it was one of my favorite childhood movies while growing up. I remember my mom sitting me down when I was 12 or 13 years old telling me this was a movie for every young girl to watch.

The "Open When" Letters
I watched a TikTok the other day about people bringing back the "Open When" letters. I did this activity damn near 10 years ago for a friend I truly admired. I kind of hope she still has them, I poured hours into making them for her. I brought it up to my partner and I decided to create him a set for his birthday that is rapidly approaching next month.
