There's a n--ger in the woodpile
"There's a n--ger in the woodpile" is a term my grandmother used on occasion to indicate that a situation had something hidden that needed to be revealed. We lived in the county and actually had a pile of wood from which we gathered the sticks to make a fire. I could not imagine anyone hiding inside of a woodpile and never pondered that what my grandma said was more than just a phrase and at one time was a reality.

Jabot Cosmetic's future in jeopardy on 'The Young and the Restless'
Jabot once reigned supreme in Genoa City On The Young and the Restless Jabot Cosmetics was founded in the 1960s by John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) and once was a powerful company. The name is derived by using the J for John and adding some of the letters of his last name Abbott. The company is owned by the Abbott family and after John's death, much chaos ensued. The business is currently run by the oldest son Jack (Peter Bergman) and his son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) who works from Italy. There has been a lot of drama and a few takeovers of this dynasty over the decades and if recent spoiler notifications are accurate there may be more trouble in the near future.

Writing threads my needle
To literally thread a needle is exactly what the words imply as you are pushing a piece of string/thread through the hole or eye of a needle. In the old days, this was the way women sewed hems in garments when not using an actual sewing machine. The words threading a needle also have a symbolic meaning which is skillfully navigating a rough situation or being precise and accurate during a shot while playing pool or billiards. Threading the needle can also mean a specific manner in which you deal with the stresses of life and for me, that method is writing.

On 'General Hospital' Austin might be a Quartermaine
In the good old days of GENERAL HOSPITAL, there was always an interloper or a stray Quartermaine lurking around trying to get their hands on ELQ stock. Recently outsider Valentin Cassadine weaseled his way into becoming the CEO of the family business and now there may be a threat from yet another who has Q blood running in his veins. "Austin" was in the woods in Pawtauk and delivered Maxie's baby and has now made his way to Port Charles and seems very absorbed in the Q's.

Always expect the magic of the fog
I have a personal method of relaxation that has never failed me. The mysteries of the fog thread my needle whether I am actually in the midst of it or reading about it. I imagine I am standing on a cliff and can jump out into the mist that is so thick that it catches me and I am borne on the air itelf. My enchantment with the mist from low lying clouds began with a tale titled FOG MAGIC.

Balloon releasing deemed unsafe and illegal

There will be a $25.00 fine for those caught in the act in the Commonwealth. Other states including California, Texas, Florida, Connecticut, Tennessee, and New York, have also banned this popular activity. In Florida, it was determined that large numbers of balloons that were inflated with lighter-than-air gases posed a nuisance and a danger to the environment, marine animals, and wildlife.
