Deception takes hold on 'The Young and the Restless'

The first week in July will be one where deception reins on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Lets take a look at what spoilers are predicting.

Amanda's family tree

Devon and Amanda will be riding out the fallout of the revelation that her father was murdered. This is not at all what was expected when Ms. Sinclair decided to take on the case for her grandfather. There have been so many secrets and lies unraveling in this storyline that Amanda and Devon will be reeling for some time to come. The full truth is not yet known and spoilers tease that perhaps it was Amanda's stepdad who actually arranged for her bio father to die in the accident.

Nick's painful goodbye

Nick will have a painful farewell and viewers know that Summer is leaving for Italy. Those who watch THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS can't understand why Ms. Newman has not come clean about the real reason that she is leaving Genoa City. Her father would see things differently if she told him and perhaps beg her to stay and tell Kyle that Tara blackmailed her. The rumor mill says Hunter King is not going to new her contract so this might be why her character is rushing out of town in such an awkward manner and deceiving her father in the process.

Ashland could be lying

Spoilers tease that Ashland Locke could be lying about dying of cancer or perhaps not be as sick as he claims. He could be deceiving Victoria while she is trying to outsmart him. It's not clear yet whether or not these two really care for one another or are only using each other to further their own purposes. This week things should become a bit more clear.

Tara's game plan

Tara on the other hand is setting her sights on becoming an Abbott. Kyle has no idea that Harrison's mom and Sally Spectra plotted to run Summer out of town and he will be floored when the truth is revealed. Spoilers are saying that Michael Mealor may not work out his contract with THE YUNG AND THE RESTLESS and that Kyle will leave Genoa City to be with Summer.

If that's true, Tara's misdeeds will come to light sooner rather than later to the delight of the viewers who don't like the character. Perhaps soon, Ashland and his wife may both leave town. This coming week Tara will be elated that her plan is working. She will begin to feel as if she is part of the Abbott household and neither Kyle nor Jack has a clue what is really going on. Tara wants to trade in Ashland's millions for the Abbott family fortune but she may end up deceiving no one but herself.

Kyle's delimma

If Kyle does go to Italy to be with Summer then this could mean several things regarding Harrison. Kyle could somehow gain full custody after learning of Tara's deceit and take the boy with him. It could be revealed that Kyle is not really the child's father which would leave him free to join his fiancee. Ashland mentioned getting his own DNA test but the result have yet to be mentioned. What is known for certain is that Kyle will be in a state of shock after Summer makes her exit and Tara will try to console him.

Chloe in the hot seat

Michael is going to interrogate Chloe and spoilers say she is going to squirm. The DA knows his sister in law pretty well and he also realizes she will do anything for her best friend Chelsea. Both Rey and Michael feel that Chloe and Chelsea are hiding something and they are determined to get to the bottom of it. It's not clear if Kevin's wife will crack under pressure but viewers know that she is hiding a big secret that needs to be revealed.
