Can I Master Hebrew with Just 10 Minutes a Day?
Learning a new language is an exciting yet challenging process. I'm currently learning Hebrew, using textbooks and the Drops app, which focuses on short, engaging vocabulary lessons. With over 100 days of study (split between two streaks), I'm making solid progress. But key questions remain:

Beyond Visibility: The Power of True Representation in Film, Music, Politics, and Art.
Introduction: Seeing Myself in a World That Doesn’t See Me. Growing up, I loved movies, music, and art. But there was always something missing—me. As a Black woman with strong African features, I rarely saw myself reflected in leading roles, album covers, or political spaces shaping the world. The women presented as desirable, powerful, or worthy of love never looked like me. And when dark-skinned Black women did appear, we were often cast in roles of struggle, strength, or servitude—rarely as soft, cherished, or central to the story.

Paul Harvey's Art Exhibition At Newcastle Arts Centre, February 8-March 15, 2025.
Art has long been a space for dialogue, provocation, and cultural reflection. However, sometimes that dialogue takes a turn that feels deeply personal—perhaps even offensive. Paul Harvey’s ongoing exhibition at Newcastle Arts Centre, particularly his piece referencing Isaiah 43:19, sparks strong reactions within me as a Christian.

The Lies We Live By: Challenging the Myths We’ve Been Conditioned to Accept.
Introduction. We like to believe that the world operates on fundamental truths, but what if some of the “facts” we accept as reality are actually constructs designed for convenience, control, or even deception? Over time, many aspects of our daily lives have been shaped not by necessity or natural law but by human intervention. Two seemingly unrelated examples—orange carrots and the standard birthing position—offer a glimpse into how deeply ingrained some of these misconceptions are.

But like anyone, I still find myself hitting some roadblocks when it comes to sticking with good habits or breaking bad ones. Enter Atomic Habits by James Clear, a book that’s become my go-to guide for refining how I approach habit-building. If you're like me, and you already have a sense of how habits work but want to level up, this book is a game-changer.

Iconic Movie Scores That Shaped My Love for Film Music (Part 1)
Film scores have a way of transporting us beyond the screen, embedding themselves in our memories long after the credits roll. Some themes inspire heroism, others evoke deep emotions, and a few become so iconic that they transcend the films they were written for. In this piece, I want to highlight some of my favourite movie scores—ones that have shaped my appreciation for film music and storytelling.

Some Truths About Money (Lessons From "Diary Of A CEO") and Jaspreet Singh.
Introduction: What Hedge Funds and Banks Don’t Want You to Know. Most people work their entire lives without truly building wealth. Why? Because the financial system isn’t designed to make you rich—it’s designed to keep you dependent. Hedge funds, banks, and large corporations thrive when the average person is trapped in debt and financial struggle.

Let's Talk About Ozempic!
Introduction: A Confession. I have a big appetite sometimes. Not always, but I’ve noticed a pattern: when I’m anxious or sad, I eat more. When I’m intentional, focused, and busy, my appetite shrinks, and I lose weight without trying. Despite my best efforts—respecting food portions, drinking detox teas, choosing fruits, and eating as clean as I can—it’s not always easy. A big appetite combined with a modest budget can make healthy eating feel like a battle.
