Obey.

An Ode To My Maker.

By Cathy (Christine Acheini) Ben-Ameh.Published 11 months ago 1 min read

Lord, Your voice calls, and I rise,

Feet unshaken, heart set to abide.

Where You send, I will follow,

Through fire or flood, joy or sorrow.

Your word is the lamp at my feet,

The whisper that makes my soul complete.

I will go where You bid me go,

Even if winds and tempests blow.

If love should bloom, a gift from Your hand,

Still, You remain—my heart’s first stand.

No riches, no kindness, no earthly delight,

Can dim Your name, my guiding light.

You stood with me in the valley’s deep,

When the nights stretched long, and I couldn’t sleep.

You lifted me, clothed me in grace,

Now I walk in the warmth of Your embrace.

Should the cost be my final breath,

Let me prove my love in death.

For You have never turned away,

So I will trust, I will stay.

Not for reward, not out of fear,

But because, my Lord, You are near.

My King, my Love, my all in all,

Forever Yours, at Your every call.
