My Review of "The Goonies"
The Goonies came out back in 1985. I remember loving this movie when I was a kid. One of the odd things was that there was an Asian kid around the same age as me in this movie. Obviously I totally identified with him even though he was nothing like me but he spoke the same native tongue that I did. Immediately I was drawn to this movie. It was as if I was part of the adventure.

My Review of "Secret Invasion"
Secret Invasion has just released exclusively on Disney Plus in 2023. There's a lot to like about this series but a lot of question marks as well. I think they made the best with the material they were provided. The thing is that it doesn't really feel like it helps aid the ultimate goal of the recent phase of the Marvel cinematic universe.

My Review of "The Super Mario Bros. Movie"
The Super Mario Bros. Movie had come out sometime in the spring of 2023. It took me this long to watch this movie. Honestly, I didn't have big expectations for this movie especially being from the people that make the Minions movies. What I experienced was just utter happiness packed into a nice little package.

My Review of "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is a movie released back in 2010. It was based on a comic book and it really shows in this movie. I remember seeing this movie back when it first came out and remembered it being really ahead of its time. The movie is also an ode to Toronto. Although I'm not from Toronto, I kind of love how Canada-centric this movie is.

My Review of “I am Legend”
I am Legend came out back in 2007 yet it feels like the movie could have been created today. There is so much that this movie did right but I understand why some people don’t really like the ending of it. It’s not a movie for everyone but horror fans might have a good time with this one.

My Review of "Oppenheimer"
Oppenheimer has just come out. It's Christopher Nolan's hotly anticipated movie because he seems to have the Midas touch. This movie feels kind of like a culmination of a lot of his hit movies rolled up into one but in a different type of package. I can appreciate this movie but there are a few things I couldn't really get into. Mind you, I generally like all of Nolan's movies this is probably the first time I felt a little disappointed.

My Review of "The Mummy (1999)"
The Mummy (1999) is an adventure movie that takes elements from many popular movies. At the time it was truly a revolutionary movie. The type of special effects that it had was brand new but by today's standards they look extremely outdated. It's kind of a throwback to classic blockbuster Hollywood storytelling that we don't really see anymore. Then again I don't think they could have done something like this today.

My Review of "The Out-Laws"
The Out-Laws is the latest 2023 comedy to release exclusively on Netflix. If you're familiar with Happy Madison movies you should be familiar with what you're going to get with this movie. They kind of fall under a formula that we're all aware of. It's sort of watching Hallmark Christmas movies there's a sense of comfort when watching them.

My Review of "Game of Thrones: Season 3"
Game of Thrones: Season 3 aired back in 2013. I can't believe it's been that long ago. Season 2 ended with such a bang. I forgot how they raised the bar with season 3. There's so much that happens. The way they played around with the power dynamics of all the characters and even their conflicting interactions with one another it was stupendous!

My Review of "Nora From Queens: Season 3"
Nora From Queens: Season 3 has finally aired in 2023. Last season we had a bit of weirdness but this season took it to a whole new level. At times I didn't know what was real and what was actually part of what was going on in Nora's life. Despite the wackiness of the show it was still fun but it definitely feels like the final season of the show.

My Review of "Cloverfield"
Cloverfield came out back in 2008. It's to believe it's been that long. When this movie first came out I was a huge fan. I don't even remember how many times I watched this movie. It was kind of kickstarted a few trends. I know the Blair Witch movie came out before this one but this was geared towards young adults.

My Review of "Big George Foreman"
Big George Foreman is a biographical movie that came out in 2023. I'm sure many people today don't really know who he is other than maybe the George Foreman grill. He has a long and storied life and I'm glad that they made a biographical movie about him. Though I can see how they can go in different angles with this movie.
