My Review of "Nora From Queens: Season 3"

This feels like the last season for the series. It was a little bit weird.

Nora From Queens: Season 3 has finally aired in 2023. Last season we had a bit of weirdness but this season took it to a whole new level. At times I didn't know what was real and what was actually part of what was going on in Nora's life. Despite the wackiness of the show it was still fun but it definitely feels like the final season of the show.

The show takes place a little while after the events of the last season. Wally and his new girlfriend Brenda are together but this kind of gets rough in the show. There are times when you want to scream at Wally's character. His character just drove me up the wall at how little self confidence he had. I guess the comedy comes in how much of a pathetic person he is while still landing such a great life. That kind of irritated me a lot though. Maybe it's a trolling joke on us as the viewer.

Grandma is still her free spirited self. I still love her character and I kind of wished they had more of her in the show. She seems to be able to steal the show whenever she's on screen. Her role was kind of pulled in this season but it was understandable.

Edmund is also another breakout character of the show. His character grew and crew as the seasons progressed. There's this one episode where he and Nora go to Iceland because he did an ancestry test. He found out that he had a bit of Icelandic ancestry. That whole episode had me in hysterics. If there's one episode you have to see in this season it's this episode.

That's also the episode where Nora discovers that she has to find herself yet again. There are a lot of episodes that kind of explore her existential thoughts of her life and the direction that she has to go. Many people will probably identify with Nora's lost ambition. It kind of speaks to many adults trying to figure out what to do in their lives.

We're all in a state of what is left for us in this life. What could have been if my life was changed just a little bit. She actually explores this in a humorous way at the end of the season. It's done in a Christmas Carol storytelling kind of way. Ultimately there's a big moral message to the whole season.

The show wants us to all know that no matter how good or bad we have it in the world we have to look at what we have. Understand what our priorities are and don't lose sight of that. In the end they have a somewhat of a fairy tale ending. At each moment I'm thinking that there's going to be a curve ball that gets in the way but things just keep getting better and batter.

I wonder if they actually wanted to end the series or if they were told that they were to end the series and they wanted to end it on their own terms. Either way it was a nice satisfying ending that I would be happy with if it turned out to be the ultimate end of the series.

Though I did question if it was over at times because the season was quite short. It's only seven episodes and each episode was only half an hour so you can really breeze through this in an afternoon. I guess you can kind of say the same for the whole series.

Overall, this season had weird ups and downs despite being such a short season. I thoroughly enjoyed it because of some really funny scenes and the endearing nature of all of the characters. I will have to give this season a 7 out of 10. It is definitely worth watching but you should watch the first 2 seasons before going to this one.
