Where were period panties when I needed them?
We may have all come across a commercial on facebook or other social media networks where they talk about period panties. Some are geared towards women who may not have access to feminine hygiene products. This I believe is one of the greatest inventions and I wish I knew about it sooner. I love the slogan by Thinx which states “ because every person with a period deserves peace of mind.”

The Date That Changed Everything
I sat at the edge of my bed and let out a loud sigh. I was not excited about this blind date. I thought maybe having a glass of Merlot would help change my mood. After one glass nothing changed. “Maybe I need another one,” I thought.

Breaking The Seal
I’m almost positive that we have all experienced some embarrassing moments in our lives. Those instances that make us cringe so we deliberately filed them away into a mental cabinet which we have purposefully kept under lock and key. The hope is that with time, we may be able to reopen some files and laugh at some of these circumstances or we can just keep them locked up and never think about them again.

A New Beginning
I had accepted a new position in Colombia and today was my last day here. A change in scenery would be nice I thought as my life had become redundant. My family has never been supportive of what I do. Despite that I loved my job and there was nothing they could do about it. I didn’t know how long the job opportunity would last but although the thought of moving to Colombia was scary, I knew it was something that I could handle. The best person for the job was me and I intended to do it to the best of my ability.

My family is now complete
I temporarily moved to Puerto Rico for a few months because of a job opportunity. I moved with my dog Arya who was two years old at the time. Arya is a mixed breed, mastiff and presa-canario. I adopted her a year and a half prior to our move. I initially went in in hopes of adopting a smaller dog. However, things didn’t work out that way. When I arrived, the small dog that I was initially interested in was being adopted by another family. I was disappointed but I was determined to adopt a dog that day. Arya stood out from the rest. There was just something about her that I connected with. It may have been the way she looked at me. Her eyes were wide and she was very alert. She followed my every move. I adopted her and she has been a beautiful addition to our family. She is extremely loyal but very protective especially in the presence of strangers. She is also highly intelligent. With her, I felt like my family was complete.

One More Chance
I lived a pretty miserable life. One I felt had no purpose. My days were filled with working many hours at the factory. I once had goals and dreams but those all faded away when I was in a car accident. My family and I were on our way home after we celebrated my brother’s 18 th birthday at his favorite restaurant. I was 16 at the time. We were all in the car reminiscing about old times and sharing funny memories. My dad looked into the mirror to say something to my brother. I remember seeing a bright light and then everything went dark.

Unexpected
There I go again running through traffic trying to make it to work on time. I know my boss Emily will not be happy about it and she’s going to send me home again. This time, however, I think it may be for good. How can I have OCD when it pertains to most things in my life but for some odd reason I just can’t get to work on time. I took a deep breath and told myself that it would be ok. I mean if she was going to fire me, why am I rushing anyways.

Second Chance
Pedro and I grew up together but when he went away for college, we grew distant and no longer kept in touch. He is now an accountant and returned home where he would take control of his dad’s accounting firm. After the many relationships that I had, some how I always thought about Pedro and what life would have been for us if he stayed. He was my best friend at that time but I always wished we were more.

Paradise
What do you do when you wake up in a world where everything seems so perfect. My family as well as most of the women who live on this land are descendants of the greek God Posethion. She was and still is the God of nature. Without her, there would be no form of habitat, water, trees, animals and not even the air that we breathe. She is the one who brought our world into existence. Without her we are nothing. We exist because she allowed us to.
