Here
Tom Hanks and Robin Wright’s new movie Here is a beautiful and brilliant portrayal of the progression of time, and generational responsibility. Paul Bettany gives a stand out performance. And the editing of the scene transitions and style of the direction is subtle, quiet and deeply emotionally connected.

Agatha All Along
Episode 9 really shoved a lot of stuff into it's 45 minutes. Almost nothing that was set up or alluded to the whole show was paid off. And it was extremely rushed. The finale is going to be however many minutes of conclusion which also seems like a waste. We didn’t seem to know how to structure this at all. We needed more Rio and Agatha, and we needed more Agatha and Nicky and we needed to not completely waste the Salem Seven. The only real upside to the last episode was seeing Billy descend from the sky as full on Wiccan and I can’t wait to see him pop up again in the MCU, I live for the Children’s Crusade.

Agatha All Along
Last weeks episode of Agatha All Along got us back on track as far as the story goes, seeing the story from Lilia’s timeline was very entertaining and did a great job of making us feel a part of the story. That said there is a lot to wrap up and we are in the last two episodes of the show. I am anticipating some things being slightly rushed but let’s see how this goes.

Woman of the Hour
Woman of the Hour is another festival drop by Netflix but the most intriguing part of this movie for me is that Anna Kendrick is not only the star, but the director. When they lost the original director Anna pitched herself for the role and she got it. I love this for her. I love the vibe and aesthetic of the film from what I have seen so far so let’s get into it.

His Three Daughters
Elizabeth Olsen has yet another new release, our Scarlet Witch has been using her powers to bend the laws of time allowing her to film multiple projects at once and back to back. In addition to the Love and Death mini series that was filmed alongside His Three Daughters last year, The Assessment dropped this year and she has 3 more upcoming projects for the future. She has certainly been busy.

Trap
We are watching M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie, TRAP. Now I have a love-hate relationship with Shyamalan movies. They are either brilliant or trash and there really doesn’t seem to be an in between. And he is still digging himself out of his live action Avatar the Last Airbender hole. He still owes us approximately 10 incredible movies to make up for that monstrosity. That said, I find myself morbidly fascinated with his films and I love Josh Hartnett with all my heart, so here we are.

I Saw The TV Glow
There have been a lot of streaming service original movies dropped this year. And some of them have been truly incredible, some have simply been streaming service content. Now A streaming service movie can be eligible for the Oscars but it still has to meet the same requirement as wide released films. The most important being that it has to be in a movie theatre for at least a week in 6 approved major cities. Obviously not a lot of these streaming service movies meet that requirement. That said, I think there should be a different set of rules for streaming service films. Because I Saw The TV Glow should be up for a few awards, but it won’t get the recognition that it deserves.

Agatha All Along
So last week’s episode of Agatha All Along was more than disappointing. It, like the fourth episode of WandaVision, will be skipped when it comes to rewatches. It was an unnecessary waste of time and the summation of poor media literacy. That said, this episode looks far more intriguing as all of our witches seem to be dressed up as iconic witches from media. So I am very interested in what this episode will hold and I am hopeful that the show can recover from the major bullshit that was the 6th episode.

Gilmore Girls
I have started my yearly rewatch of Gilmore Girls as one does in the fall. And I of course have many thoughts on the show. I first watch this show when I was super young, I used to watch it with my mom. I didn't actually watch the full series until college, and now I watch it all the time and it makes me feel close to my momma.

Agatha All Along
We left off last week with a big reveal, our Teen is in fact Billy Kaplan. Though we all knew that already and they didn’t actually drop his name, we saw him use his powers and the headpiece that appeared on his head looked remarkably like Wanda’s. Agatha and the other witches were thrown into a mud pit and Rio was mysteriously absent. So let’s dive into the 6th episode of this 9 episode series.

Agatha All Along
Agatha All Along has been getting better and better with every episode. Last week we got some great emotional moments from all of our witches and a vulnerable moment between Teen and Agatha. Even more than that we got gay confirmation from Agatha and Rio! The effects team and the cinematographer continue to produce absolutely incredible visuals. Agatha is the MCU’s lowest budget show and yet it is the most stunning to watch. Between the top tier visuals, the incredible storytelling and the unbelievable chemistry between the cast, Agatha is so far, the best thing that the MCU has ever produced.

Agatha All Along
We are headed down the witches road and the trials have begun. The first round of trials seemed to bring out the witches deepest fears. We got some very vague insight into each of them and I am hoping that this episode dives a little deeper into backstories and motivations. Episode 4 is titled If I can’t Reach You/Let My Song Teach You. Titling the episodes after lines of the song was a stroke of genius by the way. I love it. As always the fan theories have been floating around. Now that Sharron is dead the latest one that TikTok has come up with is that Rio and Sharron are one in the same and she’s been with the coven the whole time. I love this crazy theories. I think MCU fans are a little crazy and oftentimes their theories have no basis in reality but that is exactly why the weekly release format is so important. There is more time to feel connected to the show and get excited about it.
