Gemini
Gemini (a tale of duality) by the ADHD Accountant – Krid 2021 05 Gemini are The Twins and are all about duality, both in opposites and in synchronicity. While this may sound like opposite forces are conspiring to pull them in different directions, and to fall in line with their friends and family that is an unfair attribution. Gemini are actually deeply empathetic and creative individuals who are often challenged between supporting others and expressing themselves.

Fair Winds for Big Dreams
Fair Winds (and zero skills) By the ADHD Accountant - Krid There is a place on the prairies that is the highest altitude between the Rocky Mountains and Labrador, with a lake that the Blackfoot call Ponokiokwe. Elkwater is located on the Cypress Hills just South-East of Medicine Hat. Much like Banff it has golf, hiking, camping, skiing, and assorted RV & camping resort amenities. The community isn’t very large; there aren’t many houses and practically no on lives there year round.

Take Out Only
Take Out Only (spicy mild) By: The ADHD Accountant – Krid Years ago, so many years that I can scarce recall (the number of years, not the memories), I was a young student in the final year of my degree. A friend of mine was moving North and had a little side gig. Now Mr. Side Gig was a horrible client who I fired within a year BUT his wife ran a little gig of her own; take-out Thai. As a recent immigrant with poor English and education which didn’t translate to a local accreditation she did what many do – worked even harder with skills that transcend language and local certifications. Mrs. Side Gig started a little restaurant out of her kitchen. Take out only. She would even deliver for free within a few blocks!

A Glass for our Second Date
A Glass for our Second Date (better with age) By: The ADHD Accountant – Krid It has been many years since my first date. I’ve had many since. Some bad, some good, even one that was great. I have oft wondered about the key to a good date as the children around me grow and ask and experience their own. We all agree; you both should have a good time.

Thrifty Treasures
Thrifty Treasures (worth so much more) by the ADHD Accountant – Krid On Vancouver Island, in the Province of British Columbia, in the nation of Canada on the continent of North America; Earth, Sol system, there is a place my family calls “Goats on the Roof.” In reality it is called Coombs Old Country Market and it is a mix of this and that and some other things. There’s ice cream and lavender honey amongst artisanal knick-knacks and bric-a-brac. There are sculptures and palm readings, and almost everything is new. But my adventure started here, with grass rooves and goats munching merrily atop them, a scant few kilometers from my parents’ home and in the company of two kids and my partner. We were cramped in a tiny car and heading to the West coast; places called Ucluelet and Tofino.

Nested Ifs and Data Validation
Nested Ifs and Data Validation (an uncommon Excel trick) By: The ADHD Accountant – Krid Do you ever just make something try to work, try to fit, and just generally try to do something that seems like it should be easy, but somehow isn’t? I faced this challenge years ago with Excel where I wanted to create a fillable form with strict adherence to certain proscribed categories and items. Basically, IF this field is from this list THEN this field should be based on what is in the IF field.

Rules for a Healthy Relationship
Rules for a Healthy Relationship By: The ADHD Accountant – Krid I would like to preface this by stating that I have nothing beyond anecdotes and tales apocryphal to support any of this; I am merely a man who has had many bad relationships and few good ones. I’d like to say that I have learned a lot, but can only say that I have learned a little. I am not a counselor or a trained social scientist.

Life Hack Your Underwear
Life Hack Your Underwear (making it easy) By: The ADHD Accountant – Krid In my life it is fair to say that the condition and state of my underwear has little to no relevance to anyone else. And yes, that does include my partner. I do my own laundry. Well, she did help this time. Hers are better... And, just recently, I have devised a brilliant time saving methodology.

Fountain pens are still a thing
Fountain Pens Are Still A Thing By: The ADHD Accountant – Krid Welcome to our little community. We’re all around you; you may know one of us. You might even be on of us. Let me give you a quick tour of how I ended up down the rabbit hole; I’m no Alice but you may find a wonder land like I have. And you too may find Wonder Pens to be enabling…

lucky little black book
lucky little black book by: the ADHD Accountant - Krid ‘It was a dark and stormy night’ certainly sounds like a dramatic way for me to start my story. My quasi-biographical how-it-happened-to-me tale of overnight fortune. The truth is that it wasn’t a dark and stormy night at all; it was the cumulation of almost 20 years of on and off again sardonic amusement against the gods of speculation. A clever phrase I’ve ripped off of Emily D. Baker, by the way. Though I couldn’t say if she was the first to use it. She mentioned someone named Saltsy?
