Truly July: A Mikeydred July Dollar Prompt For All Vocal Creators

Introduction

Every so often I set prompts in the Vocal Social Society and offer a dollar tip to three random creators who take part in it and ask them to share their stories in the comments and on the thread in the group.

This is not official and usually after each one I say that's it, but this is another time where I say, "No, let's have another prompt.

So What's Gonna Happen This Time?

I want you to write me a story or poem, the theme is the month of July or rather something that happened or is celebrated in July and can be found on this calendar:

For example:

July 3rd marks the beginning of the “Dog Days of Summer.” These days are typically the hottest and most humid time of the year. They get their name due to the fact these days occur when the “Dog Star” Sirius raises before the sun

Or

On July 6th the first picture postcard was made. If you were asked to create a postcard what would you draw and why? Maybe create a sketch of what it would look like.

These are just two examples but I know you can take that in so many directions.

I will write one myself and include it, but that won't be classed as an entry.

I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with and I know that you are all incredible creative Vocal talents, so get your pens, paper and keyboards out.
