Too Much Ain't Enough

For Me

An AI Creation By The Author

Introduction

I think I write too much, but I also think I don't write enough. I try and support others but don't feel I do enough. I am not perfect.

Some people have said if I don't publish a story on Vocal and share pictures of cats then something is terribly wrong.

Yesterday I published nothing, but that was because I had a very long day, and nothing is terribly wrong.

Too Much Or Not Enough?

I am lucky, I can write about anything and i could probably publish ten Vocal stories a day some days but I feel that would be wrong and people would not read any of my stories.

I usually publish one or two a day and that is too many for some people.

Yesterday I was going to write three poems, but then decided that they covered subjects that other creators had already covered.

I was shocked when one of my poems recently placed in a Vocal Challenge

I know my poetry is excellent from the incredible comments that I get from readers, here are a few:

  • Lovely, Mike. You should win, all your poems are usually the epitome of love
  • One hell of a trip you have painted!!! Well written, Mike, and very heartfelt. Hope it got to Polly ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
  • This is so lovely and inspirational! I love how you wrote this. You've inspired me ๐Ÿฅฐ Thanks for sharing~
  • Truly a man of love letters. Nicely done, Mike.
  • Definitely book worthy. Love it!
  • This was extremely beautiful! Loved it!

My problem with poetry is that I almost always use defined formats such as villanelle and sonnet, and that maybe shows that I can't be very creative in my work.

For my last Fifty Words Challenge one I did it as two Acrostics with ten syllable lines and AABBCCDD rhyme sequence.

People do love it though.

Conclusion

I have had a day off, so to speak so I am going back to too much writing. I have said my writing is like a newspaper, and I just expect people to choode the bits they find interesting.

If you have reached here, thank you so much for reading, I truly appreciate it.

The music is "Too Much Ain't Enough" by Tom Petty, so you know where I stole the title from.

It is a fine balance Mike. I think you can over-saturate your followers and it comes back to my comment on your earlier story. Readers have the right to choose what they read and by whom. If it makes you happy to produce more then that is one thing. We still have to get over this obligation of feeling he need to rad everything that someone produces so we don't hurt their feelings.

  • We appreciate you, Mike, through & through.

Well done Mike. Honestly, I think you should write as much as you want and about whatever you want. At least it's your own work and not a lot of downloaded AI nonsense.

  • Yes. You do you. You decide how much to express.

I would personally rather see 10 stories a day from you, than the 100's of AI work I see floating around Vocal right now. I spent all day yesterday running stories and poems through AI checkers (PLURAL), and you would be surprised WHO is writing with 60% AI or more. I know I was. Although, I only reported the ones that were also showing the markers that Ms Judey taught us to look for.

You are both a gifted wordsmith and a sage who routinely shares wise insights regarding the many mysteries of life as a Vocal contributor. I sympathize with your anxiety about excess and readerly exhaustion, but you have many avid readers, myself included, who would lament loudly and long the loss of your unique and eloquent voice.

  • One person's too much would be another person's too little. So don't you worry about others. You publish as many pieces as you want, be it too little or too much. As long as you're happy. That's what matters
