It feels like forever since I was hanging out with my Vocal family and I truly have have missed you! I ventured back here a few times but I felt completely out of practice reading your poems and stories and overwhelmed by the amount of them!

In all honesty I am not quite sure where to begin again. My notifications here are overwhelming filled and my present situation has gifted me a rather short attention span lately.

I’m also incredibly wary of reading anything that may trigger fear in me and I know how many of you like to roam around the darkness with your writings! (whereas I have more than enough of that in reality!)

So in light of all of this - I am throwing my own welcome home party!

This Golden Ticket is an invitation especially for you to partake in an unofficial challenge with me.

especially for you

No prizes or rewards can be offered for your highly requested attendance - but then again, there’s also no entry fee 😉😅😆😂😇

(although if you’d like to pay one, please do so!)

Write the story of humanity and / or planet earth in exactly 50 words.

It can be be about the past, present or future. It can be fiction or non fiction. It can be from any perspective you wish to write it from. You can interpret this prompt in any way that you creatively choose. I want to see just how many ways this can be interpreted!

Go wild! Be free!

Don’t overthink… flow!

There is only one rule…and that is strictly no gore or horror type tales!

Please post your story in the comments and I will repost them here 👇👇👇👇👇👇

and on Sunday 31st of March (emergencies or disasters not withstanding) I will choose my top three favourites and fanfare them for all to see!

Ps. I still haven’t worked out why some of these links copy in a small format and others in a larger…. If anyone knows, please let me know in the comments.

Pps. Can’t be certain, but think it may be that the smaller ones were copied links from the app, and larger from browser. Will need to play about with this to find out. I dislike the lack of consistency in the formatting!

Ppps. I just copied the link from Mike’s story from the app - and it’s smaller again. I think my above theory is correct.

Pppps It has absolutely nothing to do with the app. It’s about the photo orientation 😂 (thank you Dana, there is no was I was working that out alone it seems 🤣)
