Things Are Improving On Vocal
Introduction
Vocal recently made some improvements to the editor and story control which you can read all about here:
This is just a short piece on the extra benefits that it give Vocal Writers who are on Vocal Plus.
The Benefits
What you can do with the story is detailed in the Vocal piece but the biggest benefit for me is that we do not have to raise a ticket to change the main image/video, Heading or Sub Heading, or to change the Community. I recently submitted a challenge story to the Fiction Community instead of the Horror Community and my good friend Dharsheena pointed out that the story was in the wrong category.
This was the story
It took me seconds to change the Community. Previously I would have to raise a ticket to get it moved to Draft which would cause Vocal work and me annoyance at the mistake I had made.
Now I don't have to wait and Vocal now have time to devote resources to things that matter instead of the drudgery that is moving stories back to draft.
I am not sure how many tickets Vocal have to deal with on a daily basis but I am sure that this has saved them a lot of work and congratulate them for doing it.
In old stories, I used YouTube videos as the main image, but sometimes they are pulled from Vocal leaving an ugly rectangular shape (thanks Stephen) and I want my whole Vocal library to always look perfect. Raising a ticket to get a story moved to draft was always a pain, and I saw one today but thanks to the new functionality it was a very quick fix. This is an example:

The new functionality enables us to fix things quickly that previously might have taken a week.

Thank you for reading and thank you Vocal for continually improving and this has been a major step forward.

It's so cool that we can change communities and other stuff so quickly rather than going through all of that.
Glad for the improvements, especially deleting stories. There are times like the one you mentioned about putting them in the wrong categories, etc.
I agree with you! It is a GREAT improvement. I had written Vocal when I first signed up and joined V+ telling them this was a shortcoming of the platform and BOOM next thing I knew it was changed! I was very happy and cannot see canceling my membership ever as long as they keep improving things!
I did a TEST of the Exclusive stories. It showed up at the end of all my new pieces. I tried the new option to delete if myself and it worked great. Very pleased
