Introduction

I, like many others, use Vocal Challenges as prompts, that is all they can be for a creator like me, but the current ones have run their time for me. I know many people complain when there are no new challenges for them. The current ones are here:

Sometimes I do get stuck for things to write about, and while we list Unofficial Challenges in VSS each month there are Creators who will only enter Official Vocal Challenges, but this month's Unofficial Challenge Thread is here:

Once I have entered a Challenge usually that's it for me, but Vocal have a lorry load of prompts in their Tips and Guides section, with first-line prompts, poetry ideas, and ideas for posts in most of the Vocal communities. If you are stuck for an idea, this is the place to go.

There is also advice about building your audience and how to bring your other social media friends and followers to read your Vocal work.

So I will probably be using one of these for my next fiction piece.

I do wish that Vocal would have a more welcoming image when we share their links, but it is what it is. That's why I desighned my Van Gogh influenced image for my Vocal specific piece.

I am sad that the Creator Chat seems to have been dropped because this was a great place to drop ideas, rather than the mess that is Discord, but Vocal do not seem to have the resources to keep it going, but you can still drop into it and it was a clean and efficient way of sharing ideas and suggestions.
