Not A Review Of Matt Haig's "The Midnight Library"
Which I Am Reading At The Moment

Introduction
When I was in Alnwick, I visited The Accidental Bookshop and wanted to buy a book. I remembered "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig, whom I enjoy reading.
I am halfway through and am documenting bits of it on my blog, but I thought I might do a review on Vocal:
However, as a precursor, I found a page of stories including AI reviews of the book, but there is one recommended one by Annie Kapur here:
So I won't be doing a Vocal review of this book, as so many have already done it and while mine might be different, there are plenty of other reviews to read on the platform and you can always read the book itself (and I am enjoying it a lot, if you want to find out what I think so far, check out my Seven Days In blog).
So What Is Happening Here
When I write something to publish on Vocal, I am always worried that either I have written it before, or someone else has written something similar, and therefore I will be accused of plagiarism so that is why I did my initial search.
Vocal's search facility is usually excellent so this is the page that was returned to me:

So as you can see, it was pointless me writing another book review of this amazing tome.
When we do our articles, we need to be accurate and it is pointless writing unless we have something new to bring to the table.
When we write our poetry, fiction and memoir pieces, we always (usually) bring something new to the table for our friends and audience.
Conclusion
This was meant to be a book review, but has turned into a short piece on researching your latest Vocal article. I hope it has made you think about a few things.
Thank you for reading. I appreciate your support.
The music is "Midnight" by Coldplay.

Excellent non-review with accompanying observations, my friend!
Wonderful
I've reviewed this too! But then I post all my reviews in multiple places because I want to share what I thought of it. All of our opinions differ after all and you may bring something new to the table with your reading of it, Mike? You never know!
There's a lot that I don't write about because I see so much of it flooding my timeline

I loved this way of writing up something useful instead of doing another review, Mike, even though if you wrote a review I'd be interested in your take on the book as well. We all read books in different ways and your interpretation may have well deserved a story.
I love the story and the music π. Keep them coming!
Itβs amazing how we think we did a one and only, then find lots have done very similar to us. Only thing is we put our own touch to it. β¦οΈβ¦οΈβ¦οΈ
