Current Vocal Challenges

Introduction

At this moment in time, there are eighteen Vocal Challenges which you can find here:

I do wish Vocal had a more positive image for its multi-story links.

These are the ones I have collected this month.

How I Approached Them And How I Am Approaching Them

This was how I initially approached them, intending one entry in each challenge, but then I got tempted and some, especially the poetry ones, have got more.

Oscar Wilde said:

"I Can Resist Anything But Temptation"

That is so me, although my imposter syndrome tells me that I shouldn't be entering them (but I do pay Vocal $9.99 a month to get into these challenges, and use the Quickedit) but I try and shy away from teh haiku ones as I feel lazy entering those so this one has a single entry from me, and won;t get another, though I coould flood it, as a few people seem to have done.

I keep trawling through the challenges and keep thinking I have already done that, and they are not inspiring me at the moment.

We have challenges up to December 20th this year, and I feel we will get more by Christmas.

I will also keep publishing my monthly unofficial lists as well, so these, combined with Vocal's Resources below, should give a great inspirational fallback:

I was really pleased to see a local poetry challenge with a very simple entry process yesterday, so my poem is entered in that. This is it, and you could enter if you wanted to, though I think local poets will be favoured:

Conclusion

Thank you for reading, and as you can see from this piece, I am still finding things to write about. I may find some inspiration to enter more of the existing challenges, but if not, I will look elsewhere.

There will not be another "Haunted Echoes" haiku from me.

I included "Iggy Pop's "Success" because I have successfully entered all the challenges in this current sequence. I don't always manage every challenge.
