Introduction

Each month, I set prompts in the Vocal Social Society and offer a dollar tip to five random creators who participate, asking them to share their stories in the comments and on the thread in the group.

This is not official.

So What's Happening In August?

I want you to write me a story or poem, with the theme being things related to the month of August, or use the featured song as inspiration, or even Augustus Caesar whom the month was named after. You can combine August and anything else for your poem or story, or take one of the ideas on the list below

Aug. 8: National Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbour’s Porch Day (Or, use up that bounty with our best zucchini recipes.)

Aug. 13: International Left-Handers Day

Aug. 20: International Geocaching Day

Aug. 20: World Honeybee Day

Aug. 25: Kiss-and-Make-Up Day

Aug. 31: National Trail Mix Day

I will write and include an example story, but that won't be classed as an entry.
