WB2K22: Weekly Honors
Feb. 20 -26 Ayana Emmanuel - Alabama State This 5-9 senior guard has been on fire for Alabama State. Two weeks ago Ayana Emmanuel scored 71 points in three games. She followed that last week with 77 points in two games. In an 83-69 win against Bethune Cookman, Feb. 21 she posted 41 points on 11-15 shooting from the field. She also made 17 of her 2o free-throws in that contest where she collected four steals as well. Emmanuel's second game was a 76-68 loss to Alabama A&M, Feb. 26, but she still performed effectively. She hit all nine of her free-throws and shot 11-18 from the field, including 5-7 from three on her way to 36 points.

Most Beautiful Basketball Players of 2022 Pt. 6
Once upon a time many people in the world had this thought that women's basketball players were not as beautiful as others. It's sad but true. However as we have shown you since 2020 (check the links at the end of this feature), women's basketball players are beautiful both inside and out. These women set goals in athletics, education and elsewhere. The most important thing is that they accomplish their goals while living a healthy lifestyle which serve as examples to all of us (male and female) that we can all have large dreams and exceed all expectations! We present to you 2022 version of our "Most Beautiful Basketball Players" series.

WB2K22: Weekly Honors
Feb. 13 - Feb. 19 Angel Reese - Maryland Angel Reese led Maryland to a couple of victories last week as the Terrapins are currently on an eight-game win streak. On Valentine's Day she scored 25 points with 13 rebounds in an 81-69 win over Iowa. Reese shot 9-15 from the field, while stealing the ball twice and blocking two shots as well. On Feb. 17, Reese helped Maryland defeat Ohio State 77-72. Maryland's most recent loss was at Ohio State on Jan. 20. Last week, Reese guided her team to a win against the Buckeyes with 21 points, 15 rebounds and two blocked shots. She made a season high nine free-throws on 10 attempts. Maryland is now 20-6 and Reese is averaging 17.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

Rafael Nadal's 21st Grand Slam triumph watched by 5 million users Rafael Nadal made history at the 2022 Australian Open, defeating Daniil Medvedev in a thriller in the final to become the first man in tennis history to win 21 Grand Slams. Meanwhile, Ashleigh Barty became the first Australian to win the women's singles title in over four decades.

The new French, black & white, basketball documentary Dunk or Die may seem like a documentary about a basketball player in France, emulating the heroes of the NBA, but that’s just the surface.

Feb. 6 - Feb. 12 Isnelle Natabou - Sacramento State For the third time in the last month, Isnelle Natabou has received National Player of the Week Honors. On Feb. 10, Natabou grabbed 18 rebounds, scored 10 points, with four steals and two blocks in a 65-55 win over Northern Colorado. On Feb. 12, Natabou led Sacramento State to a 71-62 win over Southern Utah. She posted 15 points, 14 rebounds with two blocks. After her first 23 games of the season, The 6-5 center is averaging 14.5 points, 12.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

WBB2K22: Hoops Report 31
Montana State 96, Idaho 84 A high scoring affair took place in a part of the country where most people don't associate with basketball. Host Idaho was outscored 28-7 by Montana State as the Bobcats overcame a 77-68 fourth quarter deficit to improve to 15-8. Montana State was led by the brilliant shooting of Darian White. The 5-6 guard from Boise, Idaho returned to her home state to lead Montana State with with a season high of 32 points. She shot 13-21, while also dishing out eight assists with six rebounds, three steals and one block. White is averaging 16.8 points but this was just the second game this year, that the she has shot over 50 percent overall from the field.

WB2K22: Weekly Honors
Jan. 30 - Feb. 5 Keiunna Walker - La Tech Junior guard Keiunna Walker led La Tech to a couple of blowout wins last week. She scored 19 points and had six rebounds with four assists in a 64-49 victory over Florida Atlantic, Feb. 3. Walker followed that with a perfect 9-9 shooting outing against Florida International. She scored 22 points in that contest. She is averaging 17.6 points and has scored at least 11 points in every game that she has played. After an 8-7 start, La Tech has won five of its last six to improve to 13-8.

WBB2K22: Hoops Report 30
Feb. 2 Coppin State 64, Delaware State 56 Jaia Alexander saved her team from an upset that would've been hard to swallow. Coppin State, now 10-9, beat a winless Delaware State squad 64-56 on the road. Alexander scored 35 points and grabbed 12 rebounds with three assists. The senior guard shot 14-27 while the rest of her team struggled going 11-45 from the field. Delaware State led 14-12 after the first quarter and Coppin State held a narrow 31-30 lead at the half. Alexander entered the game shooting just 38 percent for the season but she has been more accurate as of late. The Baltimore native has shot 54 percent over the past four games. This was Alexander's second game of at least 30 points this season. She scored 30 points in the season opener, which was a three-point win over La Salle .

WB2K22: Weekly Honors
Jan. 23 - Jan. 29 Ayoka Lee - Kansas State Ayoka Lee scored 102 points in one week. It took her three games to do it but it is still impressive nonetheless. The 6-6 center scored an NCAA record 61 points in a 94-65 win over Oklahoma. She made 23 of her 30 shot attempts and connected on 15 of her 17 free-throws. Along with the 61 points, Lee pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked three shots. For the rest of the week, Lee came back to earth but still had strong performances. In a 66-48 loss to Texas, Jan. 26, Lee scored 20 points with 11 rebounds and two blocked shots. She followed that up with 21 points and seven rebounds against TCU as she and her Kansas State teammates collected another win, to the score of 64-54. The junior from Byron, Minnesota is averaging 25 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game.
