Isnelle Natabou - Sacramento State
For the third time in the last month, Isnelle Natabou has received National Player of the Week Honors. On Feb. 10, Natabou grabbed 18 rebounds, scored 10 points, with four steals and two blocks in a 65-55 win over Northern Colorado. On Feb. 12, Natabou led Sacramento State to a 71-62 win over Southern Utah. She posted 15 points, 14 rebounds with two blocks. After her first 23 games of the season, The 6-5 center is averaging 14.5 points, 12.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
Maddy Siegrist - Villanova
Maddy Siegrist has earned National Player of the Week Honors for three straight weeks. The forward led Villanova to its best week of the season. The 6-1 junior scored 32 points with 14 rebounds, three blocks, two steals in a 76-57 win over Georgetown, Feb. 6. Three days later Villanova beat UConn 72-69 in a win that put an end to the Huskies 169-game winning streak over conference opponents. Siegrist scored 17 points with 12 rebounds. On Feb. 11, Siegrist scored a season best 42 points on 14-25 shooting from the field and 13-13 shooting from the free-throw line. She also had 13 rebounds in the 74-63 win over Marquette.
McKenna Hofschild - Colorado State
McKenna Hofschild scored 23 points with 13 assists on Feb. 9 in an 86-83 win against Utah State. Hofschild has dished out 10 or more assists six times this season. Colorado State is 5-1 in those games. On Feb. 12, Hofschild led Colorado State to an 84-70 win over San Jose State. Hofschild scored a season high 32 points on 10-19 shooting from the field and 11-11 shooting from the free-throw line. Hofschild has not missed a free-throw over her last five games as she has gone 28-28 over that stretch. After her first 22 games of the season Hofschild is averaging 16.2 points and 6.6 assists per game.
Caitlin Clark - Iowa
In two games last week, Caitlin Clark scored 78 points. On Feb. 6 in a loss at Michigan, Clark scored 46 points while dishing out 10 assists with three steals. She made six of her 13 shots from beyond the three-point arc. On Feb. 9, in an 88-78 win over Minnesota, Clark scored 32 points with six assists, three steals and one blocked shot. Clark is averaging 27.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 8.1 assists after her first 22 games. Iowa is 16-6.
Shaylee Gonzales - BYU
BYU is off to a 21-2 start and Shaylee Gonzales is leading the Cougars with 18.8 points and 2.4 steals per game. Gonzales posted a double-double, Feb. 10 in a 104-53 win over Pepperdine. She had 16 points, 13 assists and four steals. Two days later in an 84-69 win over St. Mary's, Gonzales scored a season best 35 points, shooting 14-23 from the field. She also had seven steals, six assists and three rebounds in that game. Along with averaging a career high in scoring, she is also shooting a career best .512 from the field and .837 from the free-throw line. She is also averaging 4.6 assists which is also her career best.
Taniyah Thompson - East Carolina
A 5-11 guard, Taniyah Thompson had her best offensive stretch of the season. On Feb. 6, she scored 29 points with six rebounds in a 60-59 loss at Temple. On Feb. 9, Thompson scored 29 points making three of her five attempts from three-point territory in a 61-59 win over Wichita State. Thompson is averaging a career best 17.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Thompson has scored over 20 points nine times this season. East Carolina is 6-3 in those games.
