Roman Reigns Biography
Roman Reigns was born Leati Anoa’i on May 25, 1985. He is from Tampa, Florida. He was born into one of the biggest wrestling families in the world, The Anoa’i Family. He is the son of Sika Anoa’i. Sika Anoa’i is the brother of Afa Anoa’i and one half of the Wild Samoans. He is the cousin of Yokozuna, Rikishi and Umaga. He is the younger brother of former WWE Wrestler Rosie. He went to Georgia Institute of Technology. He played a full season for the Canadian Football League’s Edmonton Eskimos in 2008 before his release and retirement from football. Roman Reigns joined WWE in 2010. He was partnered with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose and formed the Shield together. He has headlined a WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar. He has feuded with Seth Rollins, The Brothers of Destruction, The Wyatt Family and Triple H.

Somers Wrestling Coach Taught us to Stand on Our Own
In late December 2021, a Somers Icon passed away at the age of 79. Richie Gnida graduated from Somers in 1959 and got his teaching degree from SUNY Cortlandt in 1965. He began his career as a gym teacher and wrestling coach in Middletown and then assumed those duties at Somers in 1968. “He transformed the wrestling program to a powerhouse,” said Somers Grad and former Somers Wrestler and Somers JV Wrestling coach John Urgola.

Feb. 6 - Feb. 12 Isnelle Natabou - Sacramento State For the third time in the last month, Isnelle Natabou has received National Player of the Week Honors. On Feb. 10, Natabou grabbed 18 rebounds, scored 10 points, with four steals and two blocks in a 65-55 win over Northern Colorado. On Feb. 12, Natabou led Sacramento State to a 71-62 win over Southern Utah. She posted 15 points, 14 rebounds with two blocks. After her first 23 games of the season, The 6-5 center is averaging 14.5 points, 12.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
