History of soccer cleats has a long and storied past. It began during the 16th century when Henry VIII ordered a pair for his "Great Wardrobe" and wore them as his shoes. The first pairs of specialized soccer cleats were not invented until the early 19th century. The earliest versions of these footwear featured different types of studs and led to countless injuries.

A seven year old boy from Manchester has become the youngest person to be selected for the GB Roller Hockey team. Like everyone else, Max Phillips of Prestwich in Manchester began to feel extremely bored during lock down when the whole country was advised to stay at home to try and decrease the risk of spreading Covid 19. The virus was spreading all over the world and new variants were popping up all the time from different regions of the country and around the world.

The International Olympic Committee president said he was "very disturbed" to see the 15-year-old fall several times in Thursday's women's figure skating final, as she unravelled and sobbed under the glare of the global spotlight. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is looking into Valieva's entourage, after the doping controversy tarnished the second week of the Games in the Chinese capital.

Feb. 13 - Feb. 19 Angel Reese - Maryland Angel Reese led Maryland to a couple of victories last week as the Terrapins are currently on an eight-game win streak. On Valentine's Day she scored 25 points with 13 rebounds in an 81-69 win over Iowa. Reese shot 9-15 from the field, while stealing the ball twice and blocking two shots as well. On Feb. 17, Reese helped Maryland defeat Ohio State 77-72. Maryland's most recent loss was at Ohio State on Jan. 20. Last week, Reese guided her team to a win against the Buckeyes with 21 points, 15 rebounds and two blocked shots. She made a season high nine free-throws on 10 attempts. Maryland is now 20-6 and Reese is averaging 17.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
