I Had My First Earthquake Experience—It Was a Psychologically Terrifying One
The day was April 22, 2019. It seemed like a normal day for me and my mother. We did the usual kind of stuff such as household chores, playing games on our gadgets, spending time on social media, and lazing around. We had our plans arranged for the week so that we wouldn’t be lost in path and we could be able to accomplish our goals. When the afternoon came at almost 5 PM, we were preparing to go out to buy some of the stuff we needed. My mother was in the bathroom while I was in the living room, walking around and chatting with my friends from abroad as well as playing a game on my tablet.

TerraGold Plus Helped My Chronic Back Pain. Here's How.
For the entirety of my adult life, I have suffered from chronic pain in my back and neck. The first time I felt the pain was late in my high school career—junior year, I believe. It arrived one day, and it has since bothered me in class, driving from one place to the next, or even laying in bed after waking up in the morning. The pain likely stemmed from a strain I suffered playing soccer, but before that it could also be attributed to years of poor posture—or at least, that was the original assumption I was under.

Anyone who has ever owned a pet will say the same, but a pet is more than those three letters; they’re another living being, they’re a furry friend, and they are unquestionably a part of the family. More than that though, taking care of them is a huge part of helping them live the life you know they deserve. To keep them happy and healthy starts with the little things like feeding them and making sure they get enough exercise, but it is also grooming, cuddling, hemp-based CBD products, spoiling them, and the number of other ways that set you apart as a premium pet owner.

I Let My Fiancé Plan My Bachelorette Party and It Wasn’t a Total Disaster. Created with: LELO.
I do trust my fiancé—I suppose that’s obvious, since I’m marrying him. However, I was very hesitant when he volunteered to plan my bachelorette party. It’s the type of pre-wedding celebration that is almost always handled by a bridesmaid. It is a girl’s night, after all.

3 Small Things that Make a Big Difference
If someone asked me my beauty secrets, which is something people often want to know–I honestly wouldn’t know what to say. Not because I am not looking after my physical body, but because beauty to me goes so much deeper than that, and I doubt it can be enhanced via so called “secrets;” not in any meaningful way anyway. While I am fully aware that this opinion of mine is unpopular–I wholeheartedly believe that true beauty comes from within, and is the result of inner harmony and balance. Yes, of course there are physical/aesthetic attributes to it that indeed can be improved, or even changed dramatically, but to me if something is artificial–it is not beautiful. Everything is energy, and we cannot fake it, not with makeup, not with filters, not with the latest Kardashian trick of the trade.

A Heart in Ruin
“Walking at random through the streets, we came by chance upon the Cathedral of Notre Dame. I shall long remember my first impression of the scene within. The lofty gothic ceiling arched far above my head,, and through the stained windows the light came, but dimly–it was all still, solemn and religious.”

How Has Comic Book Culture Evolved Over the Years?
The precursor to Marvel Comics was born all the way back in 1939 under the magazine publisher Martin Goodman, who created Timely Comics. It’s hard to believe, but that was already eighty years ago. Comic books have been a huge part of nerd culture for decades, but things have evolved quite a lot over the years.

Ivakkak 2019: Northern Sled-Dog Race Across Nunavik
The event happened on March 10, 2019. It was on a very cold Sunday morning that the racers of the Ivakkak race were scheduled to arrive at the finish line in the village of Inukjuak where I am now living for most of the year. Luckily for me, I have the weekends off, so I was able to go see the racers make their final stop after two long and intense weeks of traveling through the harsh winter sceneries like tundra and blizzards.

How Did Photography Change My Life?
My Inspiration... "Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important. Capture good times. And if things don't work out, just take another shot." Those are the words my grandfather told me as he took a portrait of me. I was only ten years old at that time, still in middle school. It was my birthday. I always admired my grandfather for everything he did. He loved taking photos of other people, and seeing them smile.

A Love More Inclusive
I would like to preface this, with the understanding that I am in no way trying to put down romantic love. Romantic love is magical, and wonderful, and when reciprocated in a healthy way, can be very fulfilling. In this piece, all I am meaning to convey is that there are also other types of magical, wonderful, healthy ways to love, that have nothing to do with romance. If you are interested in reading my takes on romantic love feel free to do so Here.

The Bird and the Pearl
I had not eaten or drank anything all day. Yesterday was one month since my husband’s passing; food held no allure for me. A visitor stopped by in the afternoon, and it was probably the last person in the world that I wanted to see, yet in the queerest way I was thankful. I suddenly had the urge to lock-up the place I had been locked up in for three days, and go find something good out there. There must be a positive in this town, I thought.
