The Fire Alarm is going off. No one cares.
The fire alarm has been pulled. The alarm is going off. The lights are flashing. No one is panicking. No one is even paying attention to them. Smoke fills the air. The flames grow. We continue to go about our day as though the building isn’t on fire. It’s nothing more than annoying noise in the background. Maybe if we ignore it long enough, someone will shut it off.

Political Rants Should Focus on Issues, not celebrities
Oh oh, here I go again sharing my thoughts and opinions about American culture and politics based on the buzz I'm reading or watching from various media sources. If you haven't read any of my rants before this one, be prepared for some "radical" opinions. Also, for those who don't know me yet, I preface my editorial with the fact that I'm almost 54 years old, born in the USA, and living on Social Security. Long story how all that happened, but those three basic facts about me do influence my opinions.

False Spring. Content Warning.
Two cardinals and a small flock of house sparrows were the first to celebrate the arrival of spring on Wednesday morning. The sun was shining and rattling bikes scooted over cobblestone streets. Dogs and their people met at the corners without their winter jackets. The biting cold had passed and the buzz of warmth was in the air. Beer mugs and plates clanked at corner cafes like windchimes, and windows were opened to blow winter’s dust through the back door.

Introduction Today there has been a call to not spend money or use Social Media, especially Facebook and anything that carries advertising. We are fine to use small businesses, but Amazon, Walmart and the big ones are to be boycotted.

SpaceX Targeting Feb 28 For Next Launch of Starship Megarocket.
SpaceX Targeting Feb 28 For Next Launch of Starship Megarocket. SpaceX is gearing up for the eighth test flight of its Starship megarocket targeting liftoff on Friday February 28 2025. This mission comes on the heels of the previous test flight which ended prematurely due to an in flight anomaly. The upcoming launch aims to validate the improvements made to the vehicle and advance SpaceX's goal of creating a fully reusable spacecraft capable of deep space missions. The Starship system standing at 403.5 feet 123 meters is designed as a two stage fully reusable spacecraft. The first stage known as Super Heavy is a massive booster equipped with 33 Raptor engines that provide the thrust necessary to escape Earth's gravity. The second stage referred to simply as Starship houses the payload and is intended for operations in space, including landing on other celestial bodies and returning to Earth. In the previous test flight on January 16 2025 Starship successfully launched from SpaceX's Starbase facility in South Texas. The mission proceeded smoothly through the initial phases with a successful liftoff and stage separation. However approximately 8.5 minutes into the flight the upper stage experienced a propellant leak leading to a catastrophic failure over the Atlantic Ocean. Debris from the explosion fell near the Turks and Caicos Islands prompting a temporary diversion of flights in the area. An investigation involving SpaceX the Federal Aviation Administration FAA NASA the National Transportation Safety Board NTSB and the U.S Space Force identified that extreme vibrations had caused stress on the propulsion system resulting in the leak and subsequent fires. In response SpaceX implemented several hardware and system adjustments to mitigate these issues in future flights.
