ADDICTIVE FOODS AND HEALTH
Most of us have a laid back attitude when it comes to painting a picture about ourselves. That is why we consume food called addictive. These products include exercise stimulant drinks (they come in cans and look like cola), flavored aerated drinks, tobacco, betel nut, betel leaf, strong coffee, strong tea, Ma Huang (a compound like epidermis consumed in China) and alcohol.

Here's to You
Dear 2021, The past twenty-one years of my existence have not been particularly easy to cope with, in many ways the days have seemed daunting and unchanging from their melancholy shapes and sounds. Last year was no exception to this tragic truth. While the promise of a deadly disease hung in the air, life continued to move forward, but it moved backwards and diagonally in ways that I had never seen before.

Mental Wellness
My 2021 fresh start is my mental well being. I believe that that is a big concern around the whole world since this virus has entered main stage and what we have also learned it attacks our mental health as well as our physical health. The results mentally have become overwhelming and in my opinion have outweighed the virus itself. The worse being not able to be with our loved ones before their departure from earth.

Getting sober at 19
Imagine this... It’s Friday. You’re wrapping up a long work week. Plans are circulating around your office that begin once the clock is punched. You agree to go out with a couple of your close co-workers to your favorite place to grab a quick drink to toast the weeks end before going home. After you do so and unwind a bit, you make it home and go on about your normal evening routine. Sounds pretty standard right? Well, you’re probably not an alcoholic then. I am however, and learned so at a very young age.

THE ROCK IN THE HARD PLACE
I am nine when my father runs off with his 23-year-old secretary. He leaves a note on my mother's pillow: I just don't love you anymore. I know this because I find the crumpled piece of paper in the garbage can after my mother falls asleep on the couch. Then I read it in my closet with my Mickey Mouse flashlight.

Most people have heard about the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. But there are people that don’t go through all five stages before they begin to heal, and others that do go through all five and still aren’t healing. The path to healing is uniquely your own.

Junkie
